For more than 50 years, Texas singer-songwriter Shake Russell, has been entertaining audiences throughout the region and all over the United States with his unique Americana style of folk rock.  Weaving sophisticated harmonies through his songs and drawing from various genres, Shake created a style of folk-rock that is uniquely his own.

A prolific songwriter, Shake has written or co-written hundreds of melodies. Shakes songs and albums have frequented the Billboard charts, with many including “You’ve Got a Lover” (Ricky Skaggs) “Deep in the West” (Waylon Jennings/Jessi Colter), “Put Yourself in My Shoes”, “One More Payment”, “Our Kind of Love”, “You Don’t Need Me Now”, (Clint Black), “You Wouldn’t Know Me” (Miranda Lambert), “The Dare of an Angel” (Jerry Jeff Walker), “The Girl Just Loves to Dance” (Gary P Nunn), “Temper Temper”, (BW Stevenson), Miranda Lambert’s recording of “You Wouldn’t Know Me” went “Platinum” on  her 2018 release of “The Weight of these Wings”.
Shake is a two-time recipient of BMI MILLIONAIRE AWARD and a four-time recipient of BMI Writers Award.
2013 “Texas Music Association” Entertainer of the Year in 2004, 2008 and “Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Music Association.
2016 Shake was inducted by “The Austin Songwriters Association “Music Legends Hall of Fame”

Shake has released 30 albums in his career and more to come.  Shake’s latest CD, “Chasing the Song” is a delightful array of original compositions that beautifully showcase the extraordinary talents of this singer-songwriter.  To fully appreciate and comprehend the magnitude of Shake’s contributions to music, one need only listen to his life’s work.  From his 1978 album “Songs on the Radio” to the 2018 “Chasing the Song”, Shake’s music is a testament to the reasons why he is so widely celebrated as a Texas Music Legend!

Steve Krase Bio

Steve was born in Brooklyn NY and has spent time in Ohio, California and Louisiana. Now almost 20 years in Houston, Steve has blended his high energy style with the soulful vibe that runs through the great city of Houston.

Steve spent 10 years as the harp man for the legendary Houston band Jerry Lightfoot and The Essentials. After the Essentials broke up Steve spent a few years as a sideman with Matt Leddy & The Meatcutters before forming Steve Krase & The In Crowd. Steve Krase & The In Crowd were winners of the 2004 and 2005 International Blues Challenge, moving on to the finals in Memphis both years.

Doug Legacy is a musician and one of the founding members of the Zydeco Party Band.   He has puppeteered background characters on Muppets Tonight and his band was featured as the house band for the show (with Legacy playing accordion). 

Doug is also known for The Bucket List (2007), Gilmore Girls (2000), and Muppets Tonight (1996). Doug wound up in Los Angeles in 1977 where he immediately won the Gong Show playing steel drums.  He then went on to play them with Rod Stewart (a significant vocal influence on Doug), where he met Jimmy Z, playing great blues harp and tenor sax on this album.  Doug had the honor to back up Paul McCartney on background vocals and accordion. 

For the past two decades, Dusty has honed his unique sound by playing in Texas' Honky Tonks and Country Dance Clubs, as well as venues around the nation. He's had the pleasure of sharing the stage with an impressive roster of artists, including Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Gary Allan, Toby Keith, STYX, BB King, Stoney LaRue, Pat Green, and many others. 

Dusty's passion for writing and performing began early on in life, as he watched his mother work with various well-known country and pop acts. He's dedicated to creating music that's relatable, memorable, and enjoyable for all ages, and it shows. Whether he's performing acoustic or with a full band, playing covers or originals, his energetic and dynamic performances keep the audience engaged and either on the dance floor or on the edge of their seats. 

With a number one hit and multiple top 40 singles on Texas Radio, Dusty has become a prominent figure in the Texas music scene. His newest single, "E," from the album "Still Cuts," was released in June 2023 and is already gaining critical acclaim, radio play, and streaming recognition across Texas, the United States, and the world.
