Legendary SoCal artists (HED) P.E. have been breaking rules and going against the grain for more than two decades. While the world becomes increasingly more black and white, (HEDP) P.E defiantly stands in opposition and refuses to be characterized as anything more than chaotic. On their 11th studio album, "DETOX", (HED) P.E. celebrate the musical fusion between punk rock, hip hop, jazz, reggae, heavy metal, and thrash.
"This new record was written as a response to living in chaotic times. The repercussions of the pandemic, my new baby girl was born during that time, dealing a rebellious skater for a teenager, dealing with the politics of music industry, and balancing all that it all while still trying to get laid," laughs frontman Jared Gomes when asked about the inspiration behind the new album.
He continues, "The record is titled 'DETOX' because I found myself in a pool of red wine trying to figure everything out with all these chemicals floating through my brain. There was a moment where I just had to be honest with myself and confront the skeletons that had been building up in the closet."
That raw, brutal, honesty forced Gomes and the band to embrace their brash and offensive past and double down on it as a direct response to the current cancel climate. Where albums like 2005's 'Only in Amerika' was an intentional backlash against the more commercial radio-friendly sound of prior albums, "DETOX" is a giant middle finger in the face to a woke generation that tries to cancel everything.
The album opens with a scream and then takes a swan dive right into the deep end of the rapcore that has become synonymous with (HED) P.E. The Alice in Chains inspired "Too Late" brings back a modern rock sound and couples it with a gritty rap vocal stylings, and then shifts gears to embrace their nu-metal roots on "Compromise" with some outlandish rap vocals that deliver (HED) P.E’s mission statement condemning facism and hate.
“The album brought me to tears a few times actually,” Gomes remembers. “Writing about family life and the struggles of the pandemic gets to me sometimes. After some self-reflection I was able to get back to what makes (HED) P.E.so unique. This just feels like a return to the vibe that got me here in the first place.”
"This album is a return to the G-Punk sound (Hed) P.E fans know and love,” said Gomes. “I'm rapping more on this album, it's heavier and I found inspiration to write some dirty lyrics. This one is really giving the people what they’ve been asking for, without compromising any artistic integrity."
(HED) P.E. are the pioneers of the G-Punk sound, which fuses together punk-rock, metal, hip-hop and reggae. For over two decades, the band has toured the world alongside hard rock chart-toppers like Papa Roach and Linkin Park, hardcore legends Suicidal Tendencies, as well as the iconic Ozzfest Tour. (HED) P.E. experienced a creative resurgence after signing with Suburban Noize Records in the early 2000s and was instrumental in developing the booming underground scene.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
For a while there, Charles Wesley Godwin was in something of a funk. A typically prolific writer, and one who over his first two critically-acclaimed albums had proven himself to be a reflective and soulful songwriter and singer — a storyteller in the vein of his heroes like Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Bruce Springsteen— Godwin found himself in a state of stasis last year. To hear him tell it, he was frozen in place — unable to find the words to what he hoped would become his new songs and under a level of pressure he’d never previously experienced.
And yet, what would ultimately inspire the man was right in front of him all along: family.
“I had to get back to the basics,” says the introspective, self-aware artist of what finally set him and his new songs free. “I decided I was going to write about my life and my family. It’s where my heart was guiding me: to be super personal and dig right into the weeds of my life.” The resulting LP, Family Ties —Godwin’s forthcoming third album, set for release on September 22 via Big Loud Records — is a truly stunning achievement, and the culmination of years of hard work to arrive at this point.
Thankfully, hard work and dedication rarely go unnoticed: when musicians were able to return to the stage, Godwin and his longtime band, the Allegheny High, hit the road behind his second album, 2021’s How The Mighty Fall, and pounded the pavement in a major way. They rarely took breaks from the road, performing every night “as if we were at Madison Square Garden” even when the crowds weren’t always massive. It helped that he had the support of his bandmates: Godwin’s affection for Allegheny High is palpable. “They’re my ride-or-dies,” he says of the Allegheny High. “They believed in me enough to go out on the road with me even when I couldn’t afford to pay a band. Other people aren’t willing to do that.”
This trend — building up his fanbase in a grassroots manner and letting the music and live show speak for itself —continues to this day: whether he’s headlining his own rowdy, raucous gigs, or opening for close friend and musical comrade, Zach Bryan, Godwin says his live performances have never been more rewarding. Or lively, for that matter. Perhaps it’s because, as he proudly says, the brand of music he traffics in — namely story songs with a head full of heart and history — seems to be having a true moment. “My shows will range from like 18-year-olds to 80-year-olds,” Godwin notes with a smile of his diverse, highly-enthusiastic and ever-growing fanbase. “That’s a pretty unique thing.”

Charley Crockett - SOLD OUT
Cheyenne, WYUnited StatesDoors at 7:00 PM, Show at 8:00 PMMore Information
PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Hailed as a “must-see live performer” by Rolling Stone, and a “force to be reckoned with” by CMT, Charley Crockett crafts his singular “Gulf & Western” sound — described as “very 21st century and very vintage” by NPR Music — by synthesizing country, blues, soul, Cajun, R&B and other pieces of American Roots music. And when his voice comes out of your speakers, there is no confusing him for any other artist. As the Wall Street Journal writes, “Mr. Crockett’s unique vocal style is one third Ernest Tubb honky-tonk with clipped-word diction, one third Bill Withers low-key, soulful crooning, and one third jazzy French Quarter second-line swagger.”
With his latest album $10 Cowboy, Crockett didn’t set out to make a themed record. He had released a concept album in 2022, the critically acclaimed The Man From Waco, propelling Crockett to new heights and establishing him as one of the leaders of a sparkling revival of traditional country and folk music.
For the follow up album, Crockett wrote freely, over a two-month period, as he wound his way across the United States on the back of a tour bus. The resulting songs—raw, personal, vivid portraits of a country in transition—ended up being connected after all.
“This material is written at truck stops, it’s written at casinos, it’s written in the alleys behind the venues, it’s written in my truck parked up on South Congress in Austin,” explains Crockett. “A ramblin’ man like me, a genuine transient, is in a pretty damn good position to have something to say about America.”
The album begins with the title track, a personal song that also offers a provocative idea about America. “A $10 Cowboy is a country singer who made himself on a street corner in America,” Crockett says. “But the cowboy way, the cowboy mindset, that applies to anyone who doesn’t feel free, who feels fenced in and bound to something.”
As the album unfolds, you begin to understand that a $10 Cowboy is anyone who has hustled to get by, who didn’t fit in, who has slept on other people’s couches, or the street, who has fallen down, gotten up, and ventured from home chasing a paying gig, or a new start.
The album was recorded at Arlyn Studios in Austin, produced by Crockett and his long-time collaborator Billy Horton. It was recorded live to tape, with anywhere from 6-12 musicians on each track, giving the songs the feel of a live performance. It’s a sound Crockett has been after for years. “The reason I cut it on tape is, when you get the right folks in the room, great players rise to the occasion. When that red light is on and the tape is rolling, you get the magic of a performance.”
Crockett released his last full-length album The Man From Waco - which Rolling Stone named the #2 best Country album of the year - in 2022, and the momentum he built continued into 2023. Crockett made his NPR Tiny Desk debut, was a guest on The Daily Show, and appeared on the June 2023 cover of Texas Monthly. Crockett performed at both nights of Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday celebration at the Hollywood Bowl in April 2023, and made his Bonnaroo debut last summer. Crockett also released The Man From Waco Redux, a companion to The Man From Waco featuring alternate versions of five songs, and Live from the Ryman, which documented Crockett’s sold out November 2022 debut at the Mother Church of Country Music.

With GRIP, THEYCALLHIMAP, WILLY WONKAWith lyrical skill matched only by his raucous live shows, Prof has arrived on the national stage. Coming out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Prof has perfected the art of combining blue collar hard work and unimpeachable content while never taking himself too seriously. His seventh studio album, Horse, released via his own imprint Stophouse Music Group on April 14, 2023. The album let the world at large in on a secret that diehard rap fans already know, Prof is a force to be reckoned with.
Horse has shocked pundits and industry alike with an amazing run through the charts and streaming platforms. The album reached a career-high on the Billboard charts ranking as the #2 Current Rap Album, #1 Heatseekers Album, #1 Emerging Artist Album, #8 Top Billboard Album, and #17 Independent Album the week of its release.
This miraculous independent charting has come as a result of incredible music & Prof’s resourcefulness as an independent artist & entrepreneur. Prof has leaned into the fantastical tales and dynamic persona that have cultivated his rabid fan base. After going fully independent the summer of 2020 Prof reclaimed his outlets, going from zero Youtube followers to over 160,000 subscribers in under a year and exponentially growing every dsp & social media profile. In 2023 alone he racked up over 250 million streams & performed over 90, largely sold out, headline shows.
Horse is the culmination of his personal Rocky training montage, but you can’t call it a comeback, because Prof’s numbers have only ever gone up. Horse is a powerful record, showcasing his singular drive and the weirdness of real life that has propelled Prof to the pinnacle of the independent rap music world, bringing his legions of “Gampos”, as his fans are affectionately known, alongside him. Horse’s 14 tracks include a heavyweight cast of features, from Method Man on “Subpar”, to Kevin Gates’ big sound gracing “Devils Gate”, and a brilliant appearance from Redman on “Pack a Lunch”. Prof’s contemporaries have clearly noticed the ever growing Gampo movement bursting out of the Twin Cities. Cozz and Mac Irv also appear on the album, which was produced by Prof alongside a small cadre of close collaborators.
Prof continues to celebrate the release of Horse with a 17 city east coast, headline spring 2024 run - Prof: The Gallery Tour. The Gallery Tour will hit marquee live music venues like 9:30 Club in DC, The Orange Peel in Asheville, and the Metro in Chicago.
Riding life sized carpets over his massive crowds and leaving it all on the stage, Prof’s live shows have always been more than a concert, they are an experience. As the audiences grow and his production evolves, Prof has moved from survival mode to takeover mode, and one thing is for sure, Prof thrives on the biggest stage. With GRIP, THEYCALLHIMAP, WILLY WONKA

When he was four years old, Chris Cagle moved from Louisiana to the outskirts of Houston, where he grew up. He began taking guitar lessons at six, but gave them up after a year. He took piano lessons during high school and returned to the guitar in his senior year. After high school, he enrolled at the University of Texas at Arlington, but dropped out at 19 to pursue a musical career. He moved to Nashville in 1994 and struggled for five years. His earliest songs were published by famed Nashville songwriter Harlan Howard, after which he landed a publishing deal and placed some of his songs with David Kersh. He was discovered by the assistant to the president of Virgin Records Nashville, whom he met in a restaurant where he was working. Virgin signed him and released his debut single, "My Love Goes on and On," which reached the country charts in July 2000, eventually peaking in the Top 20. His first album, Play It Loud, followed in October. It reached the country charts, and its track "Laredo" made the country Top 40. In 2001, Cagle switched from Virgin to Capitol Records (both are subsidiaries of EMI), and his new label reissued Play It Loud in June 2001 with two bonus tracks. A self-titled album came in 2003, followed by Anywhere But Here in 2005, which reached the Top 40. My Life's Been a Country Song appeared in 2008. The compilation album The Best of Chris Cagle appeared on Capitol in 2010. After a few years spent away from the music industry, during which time he built a ranch, got married, and had his first child, Cagle signed with the label Big Picture Music Group. In 2011, Cagle issued the single "Got My Country On" as a precursor to the studio album Back in the Saddle, which was set for a 2012 release. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
