PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Karen Morgan has been performing clean standup comedy in theaters and performing arts centers for almost two decades. She entertains audiences nationwide with her relatable observations of family and everyday life. Her funny, sentimental stories of growing up in the 1970s & 80s are a particularly big hit
with GenXers, Gen Jonesers and Baby Boomers. Karen’s “real” humor, clean material and conversational delivery connect quickly with audiences.
Karen’s latest comedy album, Shiny Happy People Laughing (named with special permission from REM), was recorded last fall in her home town of Athens, Georgia. She now brings this nostalgic and hilarious comedy material live to performing arts venues around the country.
Audiences are loving her hysterical trip back to a time when rocks were pets, carpets were shag, and bike seats were bananas. This clean comedy show is particularly suited for folks of a certain age who grew up playing outside without bike helmets, adult supervision, or bottled water - and still managed
to survive!

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Crowd favorites Mark and Maggie O’Connor return to Cain Center for the Arts for a special performance in support of their new album, Life After Life. The new album is an Americana project of several original vocal songs they sing together, other popular songs reimagined, and all of them supported by a small universe of acoustic instruments they’ve brushed up on in the time off the road over the past few years. The upcoming album reveals the pair’s most sincere and deeply personal work yet.

Dustbowl Revival has always been about pushing the boundaries of what American roots music can be. In many ways, they could have continued creating joyful, booty-shaking songs and cut-to-heart folk-rock ballads that lift up their transcendent live shows - and mining new energetic material from the place where folk music, funk and soul meet.
