"Trumpeter Theo Croker exudes an unmistakable air of chill, an easy smile on display. That chill is the result of a clear musical approach and determination that dates back to Croker's teenage days forming big bands and fearlessly pushing the bounds of the music played by his grandfather, trumpeter Doc Cheatham. His reach includes collaborations with a variety of musicians: vocalists Ari Lennox and Jill Scott, rappers J. Cole and Wyclef Jean, and mentors including NEA Jazz Master Dee Dee Bridgewater and saxophonist Gary Bartz. Croker's latest two albums, LOVE QUANTUM and BLK2LIFE // A FUTURE PAST, and new release BY THE WAY showcase Croker's journey as a trumpeter, composer and producer in expanding the music commonly known as jazz with hip-hop, R&B and electronic sounds."  – NPR

    ABOUT
When Sean Mason speaks about music, you can hear the notes falling into place. The cadence of his ideas unfolds with deliberate tempo, each exploring and resolving tension like an inspired chord progression. On his debut album, The Southern Suite, he emerges as a guiding luminary, shining his introspective command as both a pianist and composer through the historic lens of jazz to create a work that distills the essence of the genre for our time even as it points the way forward.

“This album is situated at the intersection of ‘renaissance’ and ‘street culture’” explains Mason. “Each song represents a deviation from traditionalism and the cultural norms that I often felt forced to conform to, leading me to embrace the convergence of such paradoxical concepts and embody them through the musical language.” The Southern Suite portrays a resolution of these polar forces and is a bold statement of purpose from Mason, a generational talent well on his way to becoming a leading pianist/composer of his time.

Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Sean took to the piano at the late age of 13, teaching himself by ear to play the styles of music he was most attracted to. His approach quickly evolved into a highly original language. Sean’s unique voice in jazz is steeped in the sound of the South, allowing an extended time for groove while also displaying a vocabulary far beyond his years. As a bandleader, he leads the Sean Mason Quartet, a band assembled to play Sean’s original music, which has been described as highly melodic and infectious.

“I first got into music by going to church every Sunday, but the movie Ray was the catalyst for me to actually begin playing piano,” recalls Mason. “My grandmother gifted me a small Casio piano and from there I began teaching myself to play, studying for countless hours and devoting concentrated time on developing my sound.” During his time in North Carolina, Sean met jazz legend Branford Marsalis, who was immediately taken by Sean’s musicality and recommended he move to New York. “I told my brother [Wynton Marsalis], ‘Be on the lookout for this kid,’” Marsalis recalls. Upon his arrival, Sean hit the ground running, quickly securing performances and residencies at some of New York’s most prestigious jazz clubs, all while attending The Juilliard School.

    MORE ABOUT LONGEVITY WINES
Longevity Wines is a family-owned, urban winery and certified minority-owned business based in the Livermore Valley wine region of Northern California. Founders Debra and Phil Long opened Longevity in 2008 when their winemaking hobby outgrew their garage. By that time, they had spent years visiting tasting rooms and saw a need for inclusive wine experiences. Their love of warm, welcoming spaces is evident in the cozy, barn-themed tasting room they designed together.

Debra came up with the Longevity name as a play on their last name that also expresses their enduring love for each other, for wine and for doing things together. Their Phil-osophy (pun intended) was to focus on the experience of enjoying quality wine: the food you have with it, the place you enjoy it and the friends you share it with—the pairings that make great memories.

Phil designed the intricate heart logo that graces Longevity bottles. If you look closely, you’ll notice it is filled with more hearts, grapes and twining vines. This special logo was inspired by artisan glass hearts Phil gave to Debra every Valentine’s Day. Her love of hearts became a big part of their everyday life and the logo symbolizes their life together.

Sadly, Debra was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2016 and passed away in 2019. Phil draws his inspiration from their love story on a daily basis as he continues to build their brand. Longevity was named Livermore Valley’s Winery of the Year just a few days before Debra died and is now the third largest brand in Livermore Valley.

Phil and his son, Assistant Winemaker Phil Long Jr., produce approximately 2,500 cases of Longevity Vintner Select wines in Livermore Valley. A partnership with Bronco Wine Company that began in 2019 allows Phil to make his Longevity Classic California wines on a much larger scale and bring Longevity to wine lovers across America and beyond.

    About CHANTAE CANN
If we’re being honest, no one’s ever really just heard Chantae Cann. In truth, you experience her.

She opens her mouth and 10,000 hours of studied mononymous legends filter through that voice, The Stevie. The Chaka. The Erykah, Jill, India and Brandy.

It’s the church in her work. The courageous blend of an authentic soul choosing to exist in the midst of an often inauthentic industry. Yet somehow she chooses to find strength in her vulnerability.

Chantae Cann, the artist, is both jazz and soul. Rooted in gospel, reflective of world rhythm and hip hop.

Her debut release, Journey to Golden, landed at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Charts and #7 on the Jazz Billboard Charts in March of 2016, and was a much welcomed introduction to the songstress. By the time of her follow-up release, Sol Empowered, we were well into the story. Earning #8 on the Jazz Billboard Charts, this album resonates with so many because they genuinely connect to the story. And Chantae, if nothing else, knows how to make a connection. Whether it’s the parents who divulge the fact that their kids listen to and sing along to her songs, or those who express that Chantae’s artistry has gotten them through some pretty tough times. Chantae makes music that serves as a safe haven for those seeking respite and reformation. All the while undergirded with a simple, but profound truth: Love Heals.

When she’s not working, Chantae can be found in her private time binge-watching episodes of Sister, Sister or freestylin these bars since she is an incredible emcee in her head …for now. But even if she’s not in your Top5 Dead or Alive GOAT convo for rappers, Chantae is one of the best kept secrets in music. She’s collaborated with PJ Morton, Masego, Tarriona “Tank” BallSnarky Puppy, Foreign Exchange, and Jonathan McReynolds. Chantae has electrified stages with Cory Henry, Robert Glasper, and Marcus Miller. She’s opened up for India.Arie, Tweet, Avery Sunshine and Lalah Hathaway.
