DESCRIPTION

The National Law Enforcement Museum’s newest offering is Walking the Beat: Presidential Assassinations and the Rise of Federal Law Enforcement, a walking tour through the streets of Washington, DC. The tour will focus on the rise of federal law enforcement as a direct result of both successful assassinations and assassination attempts on US presidents. The tour will last roughly 70 minutes and cover about 1.15 miles.

Participants will gain insight into the four presidential assassinations in our nation’s history and how those monumental events changed the FBI and United States Secret Service as a result. The tour will begin at the National Law Enforcement Museum and end at the Memorial.

Walking tours run April through October.

Scavenger Hunts occur on the second Saturday of each month at 2:00 PM.

Tickets are $10 per participant and limited to 20 visitors.
