PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Boston Conservatory at Berklee Piano Professor Jung-Ja Kim has earned a distinguished international reputation, accumulating numerous honors and awards for her performances of great depth and mastery. One of the first Korean pianists to achieve international recognition, her recordings of Chopin, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, and Ravel have received worldwide praise, and she has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Baltimore Symphony, and the Seoul Philharmonic.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Piano Masters Series welcomes back the celebrated pianist Awadagin Pratt, winner of the Naumburg International Piano Competition and the Avery Fisher Career Grant. His international career includes solo appearances at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Hollywood Bowl and the White House, soloing with orchestras including the New York and Los Angeles philharmonics and the St. Louis, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and Detroit symphonies.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Renowned German pianist Jan Jiracek von Arnim, artistic director of the International Beethoven Competition, makes his Boston debut in a program featuring all-Beethoven works, in celebration of the influential composer’s 250th birthday. 


Jiracek von Arnim’s appearance in Boston is a rare treat for music lovers. He is one of Europe’s most sought-after pianists, and has performed as soloist with the Berlin and St. Petersburg Philharmonics and in recital at the Musikverein Vienna, the Gewandhaus Leipzig, Salle Cortot Paris and the Kennedy Center.

Seully Hall is one of the original performance venues of The Boston Conservatory. Located on the 4th floor of 8 The Fenway, Seully Hall seats 125 and is used for many different types of productions as well as classroom and meeting space.

The venue is handicap accessible. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early pick up tickets. Seating is always first come, first served. Please note, during Red Sox baseball season, traffic is particularly heavy, and parking is scarce. For easiest travel, public transportation is recommended.
