Bruce’s comedy can be traced back to when he was working as a chef directly out of high school, entertaining his customers with his humor while cooking up mean BBQ dishes. He then worked as a Frito-Lay salesman and managed to get hired to do standup comedy sets for their corporate meetings. Eventually, Bruce brought his comedy routine to the Comedy Act Theater in Atlanta, where he instantly became an audience favorite. When BET’s “Coast to Coast” came to town searching for talented up-and- coming comedians, Bruce was selected and ultimately appeared on the show three times.
In 1993, Bruce made his first appearance on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam”; followed quickly by an impressive appearance on the “Showtime at the Apollo.” He was host for two seasons of BET's “Comic View”, and the comedian competition show on BET “Coming to the Stage.”

About the Artist:
At the start of his career, he utilized Facebook and Instagram to demonstrate his comedic talent by writing and performing video skits. Some of his popular work includes his nine-series skit titled “Thawt in my House,” and mom and grand-mom impersonations, which maintained his popularity because many people can relate to the situations. It was the “Mr James”(Sugardaddy) character that proved as one of Brooks first major breaks online. This character has thrust Brooks into very deserved spotlight and helped him gain national attention and a bigger following.
The 28-year-old comedian started out doing comedy simply because he enjoyed it and it was fun to do in his spare time. Little did he know his skits and jokes were making a difference in other’s lives. He started receiving direct messages from fans who watch him daily expressing how his videos got them through a rough time, or simply brightened their day.
