About the Artist:
Carlos Mencia is best known for his raw and unfiltered style of comedy, which he has showcased to great success on comedy stages, and in television shows and movies.  He has recently gone back to his comedic roots on his No Hate No Fear comedy tour. As a comedian who finds the hilarious irony in both the day-to-day and the newsworthy events, Carlos is never lacking in material; he recently shot two stand-up specials due out later this year.  Carlos will also reprise his role as Felix Boulevardez in Disney+'s "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder," the revival of the groundbreaking animated series "The Proud Family." 
Mencia comes from a humble background, born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the 17th of 18 children. His parents sent him to the US when he was three months old, where he was raised in the Maravilla Projects in Los Angeles by his aunt and uncle. In his early teens, Mencia moved back to Honduras.  When Mencia returned to Los Angeles, he showed such educational prowess that he pursued a career in engineering.  But an amateur night at the world-renowned Laugh Factory comedy club would change his path, and a career in comedy began.  He became a regular at The Comedy Store, performing nightly. Mencia was named International Comedy Grand Champion from Buscando Estrellas (Latin Star Search), eventually landing on shows "In Living Color," "The Arsenio Hall Show," and "An Evening at the Improv."
Mencia continued his journey up the comedy ladder by headlining stand-up tours and starring in stand-up TV specials. In 2002, he received a CableACE Award nomination for Best Stand-Up Comedy Special for his HBO special. Comedy Central soon took notice and the show "Mind of Mencia" went into development. Created by Carlos and comedy producer Robert Morton, the comedy series featured Carlos and his crew with their merciless mix of up-close stand-up, unconventional street interviews, and shocking commercial parodies.  The show was an instant hit, and propelled Mencia to the comedy elite.  After the first season, Comedy Central signed Mencia back for an original stand-up special, "Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached," the first Comedy Central Stand-up Special DVD to achieve Platinum sales status.
Throughout the four seasons of “Mind of Mencia,” Carlos never stopped performing live, headlining shows across the country and internationally.  “Comedy is my art, and fans are my passion.” Mencia has entertained troops serving overseas for USO tours in Turkey, Kirkuk, Baghdad, Qatar, Afghanistan, and many other countries.

Here at the Orlando Funny Bone, we offer stand-up comedy classes so you could learn how to perform like the pros. Our school concludes with a graduation show where the students perform in front of a LIVE audience, which brings us to YOU! Come check out the latest batch of comedy class graduates as they perform their newly written 5 minutes of material right here on the Funny Bone stage. With a full bar and a full menu, your night is sure to be complete as we have everything you need to be entertained!

Ever wanted to try stand-up comedy but didn’t know where to begin? Does the thought of jumping on stage in front of a live crowd intimidate you? Do you just want to become a better public speaker for your day job? Or maybe you just want to meet some cool people and get out one night a week. If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then the Orlando Funny Bone Comedy Classes are for you!
THE INFO IN A NUTSHELL:
Comedy Classes at The Orlando Funny Bone are a 10- 12 week course and will be on Monday nights from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
We study joke structure, play writing games, play act-out games, build up our five minute sets for the graduation show. We also have touring professionals come in to give lessons and answer questions.
We end our semester with a graduation show right on the main stage at The Funny Bone in front of a full crowd.

The semester is only $500 and you'll have free admission into select shows for you and your friends while in the class. The first class is free so feel free to come scope it out to see if you like it. If you do, great! If you don't, no worries you won’t owe any money. LIMITED STUDENTS PER SEMESTER. 
Past students have gone on to MTV’s Wild-n-Out, acquired over one million subscribers on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and opened for some of the biggest names on the circuit.

About the Artist:
Using his experiences growing up in Newark, Bill Bellamy started doing stand-up while he was a student at Rutgers University. Bellamy quickly discovered how much he enjoyed making people laugh and began honing his skills at small comedy clubs around the country and was soon making waves in the New York clubs like The Improv, The Comic Strip, and at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
In less than two years of launching his stand-up career, Bellamy earned a spot on HBO’s DEF COMEDY JAM where he notoriously coined the phrase “Booty Call.” The now famous late-night rendezvous moniker became the name for his first comedy special for Showtime; “Booty Call” and it was instantly one of the network’s top-rated specials.
Bellamy became a staple on MTV in the 90’s as one of the first “VJs” on the network. He hosted several of their programming blocks, including MTV JAMS. MTV TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and MTV BEACH HOUSE, while interviewing everyone from the late Kurt Cobain, Prince, Snoop Dogg, to Janet Jackson. In 1996, Bill landed his own late night series, “The Bill Bellamy Show.” 
Bill was a recurring co-host on THE RACHAEL RAY SHOW and Bill has also filled in for host Mario Lopez on ACCESS HOLLYWOOD Live and hosted the ESPY AWARDS red carpet for ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. In 2015, Bill hosted the Telepictures/Scripps syndicated hit game show LETS ASK AMERICA.
In between acting in feature films, TV shows and hosting duties, Bill decided return to his first love – stand-up comedy. Bellamy debuted his third Showtime comedy special, LADIES NIGHT OUT . The tour sold out nation-wide and featured material by comedians Ali Siddiq, J. Reid and D’Lai. Bill has appeared as a featured player in SHAQ”S ALL STAR COMEDY JAM which tours across the country and as a Showtime comedy special
in 2017. Bill also headlined a nation-wide comedy tour, THE STANDING OVATION TOUR, with Tommy Davidson, Sommore, Marc Curry & Tony Rock.
Bellamy joined the top-rated Tom Joyner Morning Show as a weekly co-host for the 2017 season.
In 2018, Bellamy had a key recurring role on HBO’s INSECURE. Bellamy can next be seen in the horror/thriller film, A DARK FOE, opposite Selma Blair and Graham Greene. Bill also landed a series regular role in the ABC pilot, NANA, alongside Katey Segal. About the Artist:
Using his experiences growing up in Newark, Bill Bellamy started doing stand-up while he was a student at Rutgers University. Bellamy quickly discovered how much he enjoyed making people laugh and began honing his skills at small comedy clubs around the country and was soon making waves in the New York clubs like The Improv, The Comic Strip, and at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
In less than two years of launching his stand-up career, Bellamy earned a spot on HBO’s DEF COMEDY JAM where he notoriously coined the phrase “Booty Call.” The now famous late-night rendezvous moniker became the name for his first comedy special for Showtime; “Booty Call” and it was instantly one of the network’s top-rated specials.
Bellamy became a staple on MTV in the 90’s as one of the first “VJs” on the network. He hosted several of their programming blocks, including MTV JAMS. MTV TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and MTV BEACH HOUSE, while interviewing everyone from the late Kurt Cobain, Prince, Snoop Dogg, to Janet Jackson. In 1996, Bill landed his own late night series, “The Bill Bellamy Show.” 
Bill was a recurring co-host on THE RACHAEL RAY SHOW and Bill has also filled in for host Mario Lopez on ACCESS HOLLYWOOD Live and hosted the ESPY AWARDS red carpet for ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. In 2015, Bill hosted the Telepictures/Scripps syndicated hit game show LETS ASK AMERICA.

Jay Jurden is a New York based comedian, writer and actor. Originally from Mississippi, Jay regularly performs comedy all over the country and was a Staff Writer for Apple TV+'s  Emmy-nominated show, The Problem With Jon Stewart. Jay has performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon three times and has also been seen on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central Featuring, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and HBO’s High Maintenance.

Jay was named one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch in 2022. His album, Jay Jurden Y'all, debuted #1 on iTunes. Jay has written for numerous publications including: Vulture, Teen Vogue, McSweeney's, and The New Yorker. He has also written for Marvel's Voices: X-Men #1. About the Artist:
Mohammed "Mo" Amer is a Palestinian-American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer from Houston, Texas. He can currently be seen on the award winning comedy Mo streaming on Netflix.  The show won a 2023 Peabody Award, a TV Academy Honor and a  Gotham Award for “Breakthrough Series “and was named one of AFI ‘s (American Film Institute) top 10 shows of the year.    Mo was also nominated for “Best Actor” at the Independent Spirit Award for the series that has rare 100% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.   He can also be seen opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in DC’s Black Adam and in the Golden Globe winning show Ramy.   In 2022 he was named GQ ‘Man of the Year’ in the UAE.   His two stand -up specials Mo Amer: The Vangabond and Mo Amer; Mohmand in Texas can also be seen on Netflix.  Mo has performed in over 27 countries across 5 continents.
