PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
"Swingin in the Ring" tells the endearing tale of Dancing Danny, who is caught between a rock and a hard place. Indebted to a street tough, Danny reluctantly becomes a boxer to pay him back. While training, he meets a dancer named Bella who teaches him a few tricks of her own.
This smash hit physical comedy features the glamour of classical movie musicals, 1930s music, Fred-and-Ginger style dancing and boxing to tell a romantic rags-to-riches story about beating the odds.

“brilliantly, cleverly funny” (The Scotsman) romantic comedy that brings boxing and ballroom dance head to head in a match made in heaven in “a dazzling execution of an irresistible original tale, served with a twist of cleverness and heart.”(Dallas Morning News). This rags-to-riches story, set in the 1930s, and told with a firm nod to the aesthetics of black-and-white movies is “a masterful production…a beautiful blend of theater, comedy, puppetry and dance,” (Minnesota Monthly) and has been performed over 250 times in over 30 cities across the U.S., Canada and Europe where it continues to “send the entire audience, from cool 20-year-olds to pensioners, out of the theatre with a spring in their step.”
