Town of Cary and the Friends of Page-Walker present Erik Dyke, double bassist with the North Carolina Symphony, and musical friends at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center as they play a wonderful selection of classical music sure to be a warm and cozy experience on a winter afternoon. Refreshments will be served.

Town of Cary and the Friends of Page-Walker present the return of Bill Leslie to the Page-Walker Arts & History Center with an afternoon of original songs and stories. Leslie is a life-long musician with a passion for Irish and Scottish music. He has released eleven albums, the most recent being 2021's "Celtic Peace." In 2018 Leslie was presented the North Carolina Award for fine arts. Refreshments will be served.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Run Time: 2 hours + intermission


An evening of original, engaging stories with four tellers, brought together as the Roadhouse Storytellers by emcee Sam Pearsall. Lona Bartlett is a professional storyteller, puppeteer and educator who has delighted audiences internationally for 30 years. Mike Perry's adventurous career has taken him from the circus to the Census Bureau, from major motion pictures to maintenance man, and now he writes and tells tales. Janel Behm is an award-winning teller originally who can often be found creating community around a campfire by sharing her passion for the ukulele and her gift for storytelling. Sam Pearsall is a retired ecologist who believes we are all made of stories! Sam believes that with any good story, the further in you go, the bigger it gets.
