PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Students from the School of Richmond Ballet will perform The Enchanted Toy Shop, a popular production conceived by Richmond Ballet Artistic Director Stoner Winslett that is a treat for all ages! The Enchanted Toy Shop tells the story of a whimsical, old-fashioned toy shop as it comes to life through the magic of a group of midnight fairies. Dolls, appearing as well-known and beloved characters, will perform dances in the spirit of the ballet world's favorite stories, including selections inspired by The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Don Quixote, and La Sylphide.

In this new student version of Appalachian Spring, audiences will experience Aaron Copland's familiar, sweeping score through the eyes of a pioneer village. At the end of a Spring day's labor, the village gathers in a celebration of community, nature, and barn-raising.
