    IN THIS OFTEN FUNNY, SOMETIMES TOUCHING AND ALWAYS ENGAGING ONE-MAN-SHOW… VETERAN BRITISH ACTOR, DAVID PAYNE BRINGS CHURCHILL TO LIFE ONSTAGE.


    Audiences will be delighted to hear of his exploits during the Boer War, his constant battles with Britain’s fellow politicians, his special relationship with America and America’s presidents.     This troupe of trained domestic house cats, all former orphans, rescues, and strays, give a one-of- a-kind, 90 minute purrformance that includes cats riding skateboards, jumping through hoops, ringing bells, balancing on balls, and performing other feats of agility and entertainment.  The show finale is the only all-cat band in the world:  Tuna and the Rock Cats! The Rock Cats play guitar, drums and piano, and they've been joined by the Jazz Cats on Saxophone, trumpet, and clarinet.

    The Acro-Cats tour to support Rock Cats Rescue, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization.  Rock Cats Rescue is focused on saving cats, "One Click at a Time' through cat welfare, rescue, and adoption.  The Acro-Cats show promotes the importance of bonding and training cats with positive reinforcement, while also finding homes for rescued cats.  Rock Cats Rescue has found homes for 330 kittens since 2009.

    In addition to being on Cat People, The Amazing Acro-Cats have been featured on national TV shows including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl, CBS News Sunday Morning, and PBS Nova's "Cat Tales".

On the second floor of the Dominion Energy Center's Dorothy Pauley Square, the 200-seat Libby S. Gottwald Playhouse provides an intimate space for close encounters with top regional and local talent. The enchanting space contains a revolutionary flexible seating arrangement with folding risers that can accommodate every performance. Comfortable chairs flank the sides of the theater, and movable, cushioned stadium-seating provides patrons a full view of the stage area while performance hall-quality acoustics and state-of-the-art lighting bolster every entertainer’s experience. A second configuration allows for the performance stage to be in the center of the theater, making even patrons in the back row feel within reach of the performers. Despite its small size, the Libby S. Gottwald Playhouse has state-of-the-art lighting and performance hall-quality acoustics.
