Legendary jazz guitarist Pat Metheny joins the Davidson College Jazz Ensemble for an evening of awe-inspiring music. Metheny has reinvented the jazz guitar sound for generations and has performed with artists as diverse as Steve Reich, Herbie Hancock, to David Bowie. Over the years, Metheny has won countless polls as "Best Jazz Guitarist" and awards including three gold records for Still Life (Talking), Letter from Home, and Secret Story. He has won 20 Grammy Awards in 12 different categories and recently joined the ranks of the nation’s highest honor in jazz, the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters.
