    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

    West Virginia native and Cincinnati Symphony violinist Charles Morey will perform the Suite for Violin and Orchestra by African-American composer William Grant Still.  On April 27th The Ohio Valley Symphony will play Brahms Symphony No. 2, Op. 73 under the direction of Maestro Scott E. Woodard.  What could be better! 

    Join us for the Pre-Concert Chat at 6:45 p.m. in the 3rd floor Ariel Chamber Theatre and for a Reception after the concert in the 2nd floor Banquet Hall.

    Doors open for the concert at 7:00 p.m.

The Ariel-Ann Carson Dater Performing Arts Centre, the historic Ariel Opera House, is home to The Ohio Valley Symphony, the only professional orchestra in the southeastern Ohio region. The Ariel is a non-profit organization located at 426 Second Avenue, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631. Our restored 1895 opera house hosts a variety of events throughout the year including The Ohio Valley Symphony's concert season, as well as offering rental spaces for weddings, expositions, meetings and a host of other community activities. The Haskins Auditorium seats 464, and the newly restored 3rd floor Ariel Chamber Theatre accommodates up to 200 patrons.
