Some unfortunate news: Due to recently discovered technical issues with the First Unitarian Church’s historic pipe organ, we are POSTPONING tomorrow night’s performance with KALI MALONE to a new date to be announced shortly.
We have worked long and hard to bring this incredible and unique show to Philadelphia, and we’ve been blown away by the response — for sure this was the show we were looking the most forward to this fall — which is all the more reason why, out of respect for both artist and audience alike, we couldn’t in good faith present something that wasn’t to the highest possible standards.
We’re working with the artist right now to sort out a new date, and will update you on that imminently. We ask that for now you hold onto your tickets, which will of course still be good for the new date (no need to do anything on your end). We’ll be happy to offer refunds to anyone unable to make the new date, once it’s announced.
from Kali Malone:
"I’m saddened to postpone this event. Performing with the pipe organ requires a great degree of flexibility and openness, as organs are unique site-specific instruments, and each one has its own special features and surprise quirks. Often, I can find creative methods to work around minor complications. However, the recently discovered technical issues with the organ at First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia proved impossible to overcome without compromising the integrity of the music and the concert. Thank you for your understanding. I will be back as soon as possible!"
