Panida Theater

SHERLOCK - a BBC-style 1900s original Sherlock adventure premieres on the main stage of the Panida Theater in April 2024, promising an evening of mystery, comedy and emotional complexity by Sandpoint playwright Teresa Pesce.  Performance dates are Friday and Saturday, April 19 & 20 at 7:30 pm with a Sunday, April 21 matinee at 2pm, and a final performance on Saturday April 27 at 7:30. Doors open at 6:30 pm for evening performances and 1 pm for the matinee. Show runs 1½ hours with a 15-minute intermission. 

 

Starring Eric Bond as the irrepressible Sherlock and Corey Repass as the imperturbable Watson, along with Kate MacAlister, Miriam Robinson, Michael Bigley, Andrew Sorg, Ashley Shalbrecht, Scott Gossett, Shelly Johnson, McCallum Morgan, Dwight Webster, Robert Zweifel.

When Iowa farmer Ray (Kevin Costner) hears a mysterious voice one night in his cornfield saying "If you build it, he will come," he feels the need to act. Despite taunts of lunacy, Ray builds a baseball diamond on his land, supported by his wife, Annie (Amy Madigan). Afterward, the ghosts of great players start emerging from the crops to play ball, led by "Shoeless" Joe Jackson. But, as Ray learns, this field of dreams is about much more than bringing former baseball greats out to play.

            Kendal Mountain Tour is Britain's biggest adventure film festival. It has been held annually in Kendal, UK, on the edge of the English Lake District since 1980. Attracting 18,000 attendees, this is the second year the film tour has made its way overseas to the Panida  Theater with a collection of seven mountain, cultural, and adventure films for 2024.

In the years after the Civil War, Jo March lives in New York and makes her living as a writer, while her sister Amy studies painting in Paris. Amy has a chance encounter with Theodore, a childhood crush who proposed to Jo but was ultimately rejected. Their oldest sibling, Meg, is married to a schoolteacher, while shy sister Beth develops a devastating illness that brings the family back together.
