    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Dedicated to the victims of the Kosovo Conflic of the 1998-99, Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man is based on the 15century French tune "L'homme arme". The work uses traditional Mass text interspersed with secular text in creating a powerful and compelling account of the descent into war and its terrible consequences.

Twenty-five years later, it stands as a major choral work in the midst of today's world political climate, ending with the uplifting words "Better is peace than always war"- and using the "L'homme arme" theme, this time sung in a major key. We are inviting area choral singers to join this historic performance honoring veterans and raising funds for local veteran programs.

Don't miss the opportunity to experience this rarely performed and thrilling work.
