MAX CREEK
In those rare instances that a band reaches its fifth decade, it’s usually a result of stardom. It’s easy enough to keep things together when each member has a jet and techs on retainer and the world tour rolls around every few years. But that’s not how Max Creek has done it. In 40+ years Max Creek has been small, big, regionally-huge, medium, and any other size one can think of; they’ve never graced the cover of Rolling Stone, but you’d be hard pressed to find a music fan in the Northeast that hadn’t heard of them.
Max Creek lacks pretense; there is no hip style or genre-title that can define them. From the beginning they’ve mixed anything they liked—rock, country, reggae, soul, jazz, calypso—in with their own great songs and it’s all just come out sounding like Creek. As such they’ve never been the hot item in the flavor-of-the-year club yet they’ve also never gone out of style. Moreover, Creek exudes confidence but lacks ego; each member is an incredible musician but that’s never been what it was about.
But that is all things Creek is not, and what Creek is is far more important. The band is certainly joyous, and their stage is full of smiles and laughter, both during and between songs. All one has to do is glance into the crowd to see that the feeling is contagious. Creek is also much more engaging than the average band, sculpting lengthy shows on-the-fly from their 200+ song catalog with rockers, ballads, deep jams and crowd sing-alongs all tucked into their perfect places. And Creek is, most definitely, a family. 40-odd years in, the audience is a multi-generational stew; it’s not uncommon to witness old-school Creek Freeks getting down with their teenage (or older!) kids.
Creek itself is multigenerational. Though the “front line” of guitarist Scott Murawski, keyboardist Mark Mercier and bassist John Rider has remained intact since the mid-70s, the current drums and percussion team of Bill Carbone and Jamemurrell Stanley weren’t even born when Max Creek was founded.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Stella Blue's Band was founded in 2009 to recreate the experience of being at a Grateful Dead show by playing this music with a deep commitment to authenticity. Stella was the first band chosen for residency at Garcia's at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY. Garcia's at The Cap has become the band's home base, and regularly hosts Stella Weekends and DeadCenter residencies. Stella has opened for Santana at the Greenwich (CT.) Town Party, played in the Central Park Bandshell since 2018 in an annual benefit for Riverkeeper, and has shared the Capitol Theater stage with Melvin Seals—Jerry Garcia’s longtime keyboard player—and Mr. Phil Lesh, founding member of the Grateful Dead. In New York City, the band plays regularly at venues such as the Brooklyn Bowl and The Cutting Room, in addition to a large number of venues throughout the tri-state area. The band was given a headline spot at the 50th Woodstock Anniversary that took place on the grounds of the famed Yasgur’s Farm, site of the original festival.
SBB features dynamic jams with lots of improvisation fulfilling the musical magic that the Dead achieved. We play tunes from all stages of the Grateful Dead's 30-year run capturing the unique sound and adventurous spirit of the music. With love and reverence for the music, we create that special feeling and community unique to Grateful Dead Shows.
Stella Blue's Band is Bill Bonacci (lead guitar, vocals), Steve Liesman (rhythm guitar, vocals), Greg Solomon (bass), Ken Aigen (keyboards), Ron Cohen (drums, vocals), and Amy Stahlin (vocals). We regularly perform with a small group of top-notch drummers sitting in with the band—such as Josh Kates (Reflections)—to provide the double-drummer magic that allows the band to find that higher gear, so essential to Grateful Dead jamming. Other players sitting in with the band have included Bill Carbone (drums, Max Creek), Kenny Brooks (saxophone, Ratdog).
The ability to reach that magic place in the music separates Stella from other Grateful Dead bands. Like true Deadheads, all the band members are gear fanatics constantly in search of the best possible sound. Our attention to the details of sound and love of the music are apparent from the first note of a SBB show. Stella Blue's Band, a project born out of love for the music, and jamming for fun, has blossomed into one of the premier Grateful Dead tribute band in the country.

Papadosio
Falling somewhere between rock, jazz, and electronic mayhem we find Papadosio striving to create music that is strangely familiar, and calls all walks of humanity to bask in a unique experience celebrating the one constant in an ever-changing world: music. With their 9th studio release on the horizon, Papadosio is expanding their audio collection with nine unique tracks for “Microdosio.” The Microdosio project introduces a new concept from Papadosio. “Microdosio is a brand new show with a small stage plot and a huge sound. Papadosio is exploring new sonic territory by shrinking down their gear to focus on synths, samplers, drum machines, and loopers, all played along with guitar, bass and analog drums. Within “Microdosio”, you’ll find novel approaches to the Papadosio experience, expect to be surprised.
Characterized as a dynamic progressive rock band, Papadosio creates the sound of new-age technology merging with mesmerizing instrumentation. Between the unfamiliar melodic sound and the element of the production, their live show is an experience that has been evolving over 14 years and is expanding to include “Microdosio” into the repertoire. This is not and will not be the final form, as they are constantly changing and tweaking both musical and production-wise. Please enjoy.

TAZ
Eighteen-year-old Brandon Niederauer, nicknamed “Taz” for his ferocious guitar playing, is living proof that dreams really do come true. Having performed in some of the most legendary venues in America with many of the most prominent musicians of our time, the young guitarist, singer, and songwriter has already earned himself quite the reputation.
It all started at eight years old, when Brandon watched the movie School of Rock. Already inspired by his father’s record collection, Brandon instantly realized he was destined to play guitar. From that moment on, his guitar rarely left his hands. Just four years later, Brandon was cast in the principal role of guitarist “Zack Mooneyham” in the Tony Award-nominated Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway production, School of Rock the Musical.
Based in New York City, Brandon has had the opportunity to play with many of his musical idols. In recent years, he’s shared the stage with multiple members of the Allman Brothers Band, including Gregg Allman, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Butch Trucks, and Oteil Burbridge, as well as a variety of other notable musicians, including Buddy Guy, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga, Slash, Jon Batiste, Dweezil Zappa, Eric Gales, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Dr. John, Gary Clark Jr., Col. Bruce Hampton, Eric Krasno, George Porter Jr., Robert Randolph, Karl Denson, Doug Wimbish, and John Popper. He has also performed with Tedeschi Trucks Band, The String Cheese Incident, Umphrey's McGee, The Revivalists, Dumpstaphunk, Blackberry Smoke, Galactic, and countless other bands.
Since making his national television debut on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at just ten years old, Brandon has appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Good Morning America, and The View. In 2018, Brandon reunited with Andrew Lloyd Webber, performing in January with Sarah Brightman at The Phantom of the Opera’s 30th Anniversary celebration, and in April alongside Sara Bareilles, Alice Cooper, and John Legend in NBC’s live broadcast production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Brandon is currently featured in Spike Lee’s Netflix series, She’s Gotta Have It, and performs concerts for audiences across the country and around the world.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
ERIC KRASNO
Soulive and Lettuce co-founder, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning songwriter-produce Eric Krasno continues to evolve with each record, project, and performance. Something of a musical journeyman, his extensive catalog comprises three solo albums, four Lettuce albums, twelve Soulive albums, and production and/or songwriting for Norah Jones, Robert Randolph, Pretty Lights, Talib Kweli, 50 Cent, Aaron Neville, and Allen Stone. As a dynamic performer, he’s shared stages with Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, and The Roots. Out of seven nominations, he picked up two GRAMMY® Awards for his role as a songwriter and guitarist on Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Revelator and guitarist on Derek Trucks Band’ Already Free. In 2019, he served up Telescope under the KRAZ moniker. The cinematic concept album earned widespread acclaim from the likes of Relix and Salon who hailed it as “a timely New York story.” On his 2021 fourth full-length solo offering Always, he defines himself as not only an artist, but also as a husband, father, and man across these ten tracks with inimitable instrumentation, eloquent songcraft, and raw honesty.
SON LITTLE
Born Aaron Earl Livingston to a preacher and a teacher in Los Angeles, Little first came to international prominence with his self-titled debut, released in 2015 on ANTI- Records. While Little’s collaborations with The Roots and RJD2 had already helped him make a name for himself by that point in his adopted hometown of Philadelphia, critics on both sides of the pond were quick to recognize the unique power of Little’s solo recordings, which stripped the past for parts that could be reconstituted into something wholly new and original. NPR hailed Little’s “impeccably crafted songs” as “honest and unpretentious,” while The Independent proclaimed him “a formidable talent,” and Vice declared that he was “dissolving the barrier between R&B and rock 'n' roll one tearjerker at a time.”

Symphonic Bodega
DaDA Mr. - Live Painting
DaDa Mr. is the multimedia brainchild of visual artist Marcella Kurowski and musician Christopher Cavaliere. Essentially formed when the couple met at the turn of the millennium, DaDa Mr. is a mesmerizing, live fusion of sight and sound. More exactly, Kurowski paints to Cavaliere’s music until the painting is finished or the song runs out, whichever comes first – and it’s all improvised. Where this sort of experimental collaboration between two artists could prove to be little more than an interesting meditation in combining mediums, DaDa Mr. is the consistent and invigorating experience of a true artistic marriage at work. A marriage that inspires and energizes whatever venue it takes on.
Most recently DaDa Mr. has been performing in an array of venues throughout the Southern Connecticut arts scene – like at the Forest to Shore Gallery in Stratford, for example. From the intimate Acoustic Café on the Black Rock strip to opening for The Stepkids at the Fairfield Theater, DaDa Mr. is performance art for the live music crowd and concert-goer as well. Kurowski’s ever transforming canvas is projected onto a screen of any size or shape (or even building) to the ambient soundtrack Cavaliere provides via a handful of instruments, an amp, and not much else. The result is a one of a kind piece of art that has never been seen before and will never be seen again. Every DaDa Mr. experience is unique.
