In an industry that looks to define artists, Gina Chávez refuses to fit into a box. From features on NPR’s Tiny Desk to Brené Brown to Colbert, this queer, bilingual, genre-bending musician has become a force to be reckoned with. Chávez — a truly independent recording artist — saw the fruits of her labor pay off last year where she was not only nominated for a Latin Grammy but was tapped to open the Latin Grammy premiere show. Only the second Austinite and the third Latina born in the continental U.S. to receive a Latin Grammy nomination in the history of the awards, Gina continues to push boundaries and break barriers with her music.

Spend a fast-and-furious two hours with America’s drive-in movie critic as he uses over 200 clips and stills to review the history of rednecks in America as told through the classics of both grindhouse and mainstream movies. 

Joe Bob Briggs is a nationally syndicated “drive-in movie critic” whose wisecracking take on B-movies was featured on two long-running late-night television shows; first on The Movie Channel and then on TNT. That tradition continues with his latest series, The Last Drive-In, currently featured on AMC’s Shudder streaming platform. In addition to his internet-breaking return to horror hosting on The Last Drive-In, Joe Bob is a columnist for Rebellermedia.com and reviews films for Fangoria.com.

The Isaacs family band comes to The Clayton Center fresh off a national tour with Reba McEntire. The band’s unique style showcases tight family harmony and blends their multi-genre musical influences of bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, country, and southern gospel. Winners of 9 Dove Awards and numerous Grammy nominations, the Isaacs have performed with artists such as The Gaithers, Dolly Parton and the Oak Ridge Boys, among many others. 2021 was a big year for the band as they became members of the Grand Ole Opry and celebrated a 50-years of performing.
