“Give me something sweet so I can make it through the week/Don’t care if I end up with cavities.”

This is the plea that opens Sweet Tooth, the upcoming third LP from Berkeley’s Mom Jeans. It’s the introduction to a quasi-concept record, a structural departure for the emo punk quartet. Before any of the record’s 13 songs had been written and recorded, the band knew what Sweet Tooth would sound like: late ‘90s and early 2000s pop rock and pop punk bliss. For frontman Eric Butler, that meant revisiting the guitar pop perfection of Weezer and Oasis alongside deep cuts from one-hit wonders like Third Eye Blind, Fountains of Wayne, and Superdrag.

Butler, guitarist Bart Thompson, bassist Samuel Kless, and drummer Austin Carango all arrived at the same description for these sounds: ear candy.

“Those hits by Blink-182 and Green Day, all those bands, it’s just hooks for days and really excellent songwriting,” says Butler. “They really just tried to write incredible songs that would get stuck in people’s heads. We wanted to try our own version of that. Ear candy is the goal, so Sweet Tooth is the record.”

Milton Nascimento announces farewell to the stage and promises an epic tour to honor the fans.

With a trajectory that includes a 60-year career and eighty years of life, Milton Nascimento decided that the time has come to say goodbye to the stage. But for this cycle to be complete, the artist decided to pay one last tribute to the fans with an international tour that promises to be epic: “One Final Music Session”.

“I could never end this part of my life of so many years on the road without honoring those who have been with me all this time: the fans. And this tour was designed especially for you!” - explains Milton. After forty-three albums, five GRAMMY awards and an honorary doctorate from the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Milton is now preparing to sing his greatest hits on a tour that will pass through Brazil, Europe and the United States.

According to Milton, “it would be impossible to say goodbye without putting songs from all stages of my career in the repertoire”. And he adds: “we want to provide a unique and exciting experience, from beginning to end”. Regarding the tour's repertoire, Milton says that classics such as “Ponta de Areia”, “Encontros e Despedidas”, “Travessia”, “Cio da Terra” and “Nos Bailes da Vida”, cannot be left our from the set list. “The rest is a surprise”, he says.

Teddy Swims is a lover. The 29-year-old artist, who merges honeyed soul with raucous rock energy and pleasing pop hooks, writes nearly all his songs about falling in or out of romantic entanglements. He zeroes in his focus on his latest EP, Tough Love—a six-song collection of heartbreak horror stories and earnest declarations of devotion. “To me, that’s just all there is,” he says. “You’re either making love or crying about it.” The Atlanta native, born Jaten Dimsdale, has been tugging at heartstrings since posting a series of covers from his bedroom studio, which generated hundreds of millions of views and scored him a deal with Warner Records. Teddy changed his focus to introspective originals on 2020’s Unlearning EP and garnered praise from American Songwriter, Billboard, Rolling Stone, among others. Soon, performances on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Today, and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert cemented his status as a rising star. With more than 500 million global streams to his credit, as well as a social following that exceeds 8 million, Teddy’s songs of devotion have clearly connected. And part of reaching that audience, for him, is getting to show his love in person.

Bearing witness to the accelerating negativity of global affairs, UK reggae legends, Steel Pulse, emerge with musical vengeance to halt the disarray of humanity. The forthcoming album, Mass Manipulation, set for early 2019 release (Rootfire Cooperative / Wiseman Doctrine), reflects four decades of bettering mankind through music. The debut single “Stop You Coming And Come” features ancient melodies paired with catchy lyrics, transporting the mind to a period of time where secrets of an African dynasty are unmasked. As reggae revolutionaries, Steel Pulse is revered by the younger generation of artists and remains a powerhouse on stages around the globe. Through the example of Mass Manipulation, Steel Pulse demonstrates the endless possibilities that come from breaking down the walls of systemic greed, and nurturing the fellowship of mankind.

The Marley surname perpetuates Jamaican royalty, resonates world-wide recognition and represents the pioneer of a cultural, political and social revolution. Reggae Icon and Legend Bob Marley blessed the world with his timeless, brilliant and message filled sound which continues to inspire and influence audiences today. With such a living past, Bob Marley’s conviction and passion for music unintentionally was passed to the lives of his offspring and has allowed the Marley name to remain relevant amongst the hierarchy of the reggae sound. Son of “Bob Marley” and “Table tennis”  champion Anita Belnavis. Ky-mani Marley is the second youngest of Bob Marley’s eleven children. While bearing the Marley name, Ky-mani’s childhood told a different story.

Born in Falmouth, Trelawney, settling in Miami at the age of 7, Kymani was raised in the inner-city in a 2 bedroom home along with 8 family members. Being exposed to an urban lifestyle, Ky-mani adopted the attitude that all people are equal – no one is above or beneath him. This attitude has become the motto for the way he lives his life today. Humble. Soft-Spoken. Sincere. Loyal. Honest. Genuine. These are the makings of Ky-mani Marley. As a child Ky-mani had no interest following in the footsteps of his world-famous father and was more inclined to play sports. However, the seed that was planted by Bob’s legacy sprouted in 1997 when Ky-mani teamed up with hip hop artist Pras of The Fugees and collaborated on Eddy Grant’s “Electric Avenue”. This would be the defining moment in Ky-mani’s journey which would lead him to pick up the torch his iconic father lit so many years ago. Remaining true to his Jamaican culture, Ky-mani’s fondness for all genres of music influences the work he creates.

Ky-mani is an artist with no limits. Incorporating world music, hip hop, blues, rock and a grass roots sound into his music, the end product is the pure representation of life for Ky-mani. The Ky-mani Marley sound is one that transcends cultural lines and prohibits him from being categorized as only a reggae artist. His raw, unadulterated, gruff sound captures the listener and reverberates the essence of Ky-mani’s life story.

Musician. Producer. Beatsmith. Recording artist. Composer. Dance-floor general. Label-head. Farmer. Comic Book SuperHero. A mystery man of many hats, The Polish Ambassador rocks more than just a trademark jumpsuit, authoring sublime, intentional artistic works, animated safaris in technicolor sound.  At first breath, The Polish Ambassador was an experiment, David Sugalski’s sound-art passion project that came to life. An inventive, imaginary character born of humble, humorous beginnings, he found his first audiences through the support of primitive digital radio stations. Today, TPA is among the premier EDM/live crossover artists in the country with millions of listeners around the world; he’s consistently in-demand at the live music-focused gatherings and boutique electronic festivals from coast to coast. Founder of independent label Jumpsuit Records, an environmentalist and early progenitor of the permaculture action movement, the world’s funkiest diplomat is here to party with a purpose.

The Polish Ambassador’s prolific output incorporates many styles, from exuberant global-house to fatback mid-tempo funk, you’ll pick up on West African percussion alongside stirring Kirtan melodies, a psychedelic sax solo or a fresh verse from a Brooklyn female emcee. TPA employs live horns, keyboards, guitars, violins, and a bevy of talented instrumentalists on stage. “The Jumpsuited One” has headlined iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, and the renowned counter-culture gathering Oregon Country Fair. Suwannee Hulaween, Electric Forest, Envision Festival, and Lightning in a Bottle and other national festivals have each repeatedly invited TPA back across different years.

In alignment with TPA’s artistic ethos is a low-key lifestyle that places a premium on being present, living in harmony with nature, participating in community and inspiring it to thrive. Offstage, David Sugalski instigated a village-building convergence in his hometown in Northern California, and manages his own 25-acre homestead in the picture-Esque, rolling Sierra Nevada foothills. The farmer/carpenter lives modestly in a cabin he built on his land of the lush; TPA music is created in a solar-powered recording studio on the property. When he removes the famed bright blue-and-yellow 80’s jumpsuit and reverts back to his humanoid self, Sugalski is an avid solo bicyclist who enjoys venturing up California’s breathtaking coastal Highway 1; he’s a dedicated van-adventurer, having built out an exquisite tiny home inside a contractors van. Sugalski plans his TPA tours for minimum carbon footprint, he advocates for healthy-beverage alternatives at music venues. Jumpsuit Records has donated tens of thousands of dollars to various non-profit organizations and charities; a portion of the label split goes to supporting non-profits voted on by fans. TPA’s awareness-in-action coalesces with numerous non-profit endeavors, including Jumpsuit Records, own 501(c) certified organization ActionDays.us. TPA decided to eliminate the merchandise from his business model, in order to facilitate a fan-operated buy-and-sell marketplace. The Polish Ambassador has evolved exponentially, from an art project to a vibration; a joyful community that thrives on the dancefloor and finds freedom, connection, and collective oneness through this music.
