Her debut release for Fueled By Ramen/Public Consumption Recording Co., Blood Bunny brings Moriondo’s outpouring to a gorgeously composed collage of bedroom-pop and skate-punk and indie-rock. In shaping that mercurial sound, Moriondo worked with producers/co-writers like David Pramik (Oliver Tree, Selena Gomez), Keith Varon (Machine Gun Kelly, Zara Larsson), and Jake Aron (Snail Mail, Yumi Zouma), mostly collaborating remotely in the throes of quarantine. But despite its departure from the lo-fi aesthetic of 2018’s Rabbit Hearted.—a self-produced, entirely D.I.Y. effort centered on her understated vocal work and graceful ukulele strumming—Blood Bunny undeniably heightens the raw intimacy of her songwriting.
Conceived in Oakland, California by two Indiana brothers and their friends, Planet Booty first emerged in the late 00’s as an eclectic 6-piece (or more) funk and soul dance band powerhouse preaching sweaty joy along the west coast. In 2014, singers Dylan Germick and Josh Cantero, along with bassist Rob Gwin, reinvented the group as a tour-focused trio with a tighter electrofunk sound and an even sexier, sweatier, more intimate message of positivity and inclusivity.
Since then Planet Booty has toured extensively throughout the United States, at club dates and festivals including SXSW and multiple Pride events, and have supported Lizzo, Ninja Sex Party, TWRP, Sisqo, Turquoise Jeep, Capital Cities, Escort, K Flay, and countless more. In 2019 Planet Booty released their fifth record, the Guilty Pleasure EP.
Blame it on my wild heart. After a painful separation we are heading back to our beloved dance floors of the world with renewed love and perspective for our passion and collective need to connect through music. With new remixes, outfits and vigour we want to ignite your inner theatrical selves to our Wild Heart Disco. Let the mascara run and the chiffon flow. It’s going to be emotional. We’ve all changed a little bit, but one thing will never leave us - our love for Fleetwood Mac, which has literally kept our big human chain together.
Since 2012, we have been hosting our tunnel-visioned event and celebrating the extensive back catalogue of Fleetwood Mac. With a curated and created assortment of remixes and edits we’ve shared our passion with like-minded hedonists at some of the best festivals and clubs in the world. Glastonbury to Robot Heart (Burning Man), from fabric London to Kantine am de Berghain. We’ve twirled through mud, dust, and lasers.
If you don’t like Fleetwood Mac at all, Stand Back, Stand Back. It’s not advised that you take this journey to the Rainbow’s End. Fleetmac Wood is a safe place that welcomes Mac fans of any gender and ethnicity. In the words of Mick Fleetwood “Be kind to one another”, you’ll make some fabulous friends. If you feel unsafe, harassed or uncomfortable please talk to security at the venue - they are there to help.
