Son Little, praised by American Songwriter as "one of the best songwriters
working today,” conceived his latest album, Like Neptune, in a cabin
overlooking the Delaware River in upstate New York. Trading in the existential
dread permeating his previous work for unbridled joy and self-acceptance,
Son Little transmutes the chronic pain of self-doubt into a beautiful and
freeing opus about overcoming generational trauma. Hailed by Afropunk as "a
stunning statement of purpose," Like Neptune decorates the altar of the
primordial blues and elevating the labor of healing to high art. “I’ve always
felt as though I was making music because I had to, something inside
compelled me. Fueled me,” Little shared. “This the first time in a long time I’m
making music for the pure joy of creating.”
Son Little and his band, comprised of Little on vocals/guitar, Steve McKie
(drums), and DeShawn Alexander (keys/bass), will tour North America for the
first time support of Like Neptune through November and December.

Dirty Funky Bass Music but make it pretty.

The vibe and soul of the Maddy O’Neal project combines soundscapes from all across the spectrum of genres…Rich in texture and atmosphere, her roots in funk and soul shine through in a bed of low end frequencies making for a unique environment for future bass and synth design to tie it all together. Hailing from Denver, Colorado you can hear the direct electro soul inspiration sprinkled in her productions but she has managed to carve out her own unique lane within the bass community. As a self taught producer and DJ, with a wildly creative upbringing, Maddy’s expression was formed by way of soulful melodic overtones, driven basslines, and glitched out hip hop grooves. Maddy’s live performances consist of original compositions, drum pads and an interwoven storyline ranging from down low grimey bangers to shimmery mid tempo vocal bass tracks and head nod disco. Her momentum is unstoppable as she has been touring the country for the last 5 years playing 90+ shows a year spreading her infectious energy from stage to stage.

With hits like “Zest Please”; a collaboration with the iconic Clozee that amassed over 2 million spotify plays in just one year, 4 EPs, a massive sophomore LP “Ricochet” in 2022 followed by 2 volumes of remix albums, Maddy’s repertoire is ever expanding leaving fan bases across the world wanting more.

Maddy O’Neal has played Coachella, Lollapalooza, Lost Lands, Electric Forest, Envision, Summer Camp, North Coast, Red Rocks (x3) and many many more. Her touring resume is long and accomplished by supporting such artists as Clozee, Pretty Lights, Griz, Big Gigantic, Liquid Stranger, The Floozies, Opiuo, Wreckno, STS9, Manic Focus, and more!

Upcoming notable summer festival performances include highlights such as Bonnaroo, Cascade, SSBD, Sonic Bloom and more.

Founded by Ed Durocher, Apollo Suns is a 9-piece instrumental collective from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band fuses the influence of jazz, rock and psychedelic music, to create their own unique sounds with the dancefloor in mind. They have self-released three EPs: ‘Each Day a Different Sun’ (2017), ‘Dawn Offerings’ (2019), ‘A Relationship of Force’ (Color Red, 2021), and were awarded “Instrumental Artist of the Year” at Western Canadian Music Awards in both 2018/2020.

In 2022, Apollo Suns returned to the studio with Juno award-winning producer Ben Kaplan (Five Alarm Funk, Mother Mother, The Rare Americans) to record their latest album, ‘Departures’. The band is signed to the Canadian label Do Right Music, home to The Souljazz Orchestra, Soul Motivators, and Luvmenauts.

Developed over many tours trying out different arrangements and grooves, their new single 'Pluto' became a fan favourite at live shows due to its heavy horns, dynamic groove, and catchy melody. “Pluto is a many-faced god who is capable of great kindness but also is temperamental. We wanted the song and artwork to convey that feeling to listeners.”

Best known for their high-octane live shows, Apollo Suns have captivated audiences at Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Big Fun Festival, Vermont Jazz Fest, and Calgary Stampede. Some of their most notable shows include support slots for The Comet is Coming, Makaya McCraven, Anomalie, The Brooks, and Five Alarm Funk. The core group includes Ed Durocher (Guitar), Tim Iskierski (Drums), Erika Einarson (Percussion), Bryn Herperger (Bass), Garrett Malenko (Trumpet), Benjamin James Hill (Trombone), Aaron Bartel (Bari Sax) and Anatol Rennie (Keyboards/Synths).

Dana Ariel Stahl is a singer/songwriter based out of Southwest Colorado. Although just one voice and one guitar, she brings an eclectic sound with her atmospheric vocals, folky guitar and mixture of genres. Dana's music appeals to a wide variety of audiences of all age groups and musical tastes. She has shared the stage and worked alongside bands such as Hello DollFace, Elder Grown, and Alpen Rising. The welcoming and lively atmosphere she delivers to each show she plays brings a similar vibe as the artist Brett Dennen whereas her paradisiac sound reminds you of the esteemed Sara Watkins. Dana is sure to bring people of all backgrounds together and provide a unified environment through her music.

    The Crystal Method
For more than two decades, The Crystal Method has remained at the forefront of the
worldwide dance music industry as pioneers of the big beat genre, innovators of the
‘90s electronica movement and current-day global ambassadors of the American
electronic sound. Originally formed as a duo—alongside founding member Ken Jordan,
who retired from the music business in 2016—The Crystal Method today lives and
breathes as a solo act, with co-founder Scott Kirkland at the helm. And with the artistic
reboot comes the next chapter in The Crystal Method timeline: The Trip Home, out
September 28 on the band’s own Tiny E Records.

As the sixth full-length The Crystal Method album and Kirkland’s first as a newfound
solo act, The Trip Home serves as the creative rebirth of the brand. An artistic manifesto
and love letter to the electronic world, The Trip Home welcomes Kirkland at the driver’s
seat with full control of the reins.

For the new album, which he co-produced with Glen Nicholls, Kirkland dove deep into
the decades-spanning discography of The Crystal Method. The result is a sound that
revisits the roots of the classic Crystal Method aesthetic, while pushing its possibilities
into the future. Equal parts throwback and dynamic futurism, The Trip Home expands
Kirkland’s unrestrained curiosity into new realms and new sounds.

To perfect this fine balance, Kirkland took a back-to-basics approach, which saw him
firing up his arsenal of analog synths and reconnecting with his collection of vintage
gear. The lead single “Holy Arp” captures this calculated formula perfectly: A brooding
intro of darkly tinged bleeps and bloops slowly builds the song’s tension before it pours
into a bed of chunky synths, distorted reverb and alien sounds.
It was “Holy Arp” that gave Kirkland the first flashes of the cohesive sound that would
    shape The Trip Home.

“As soon as I got that track going, I knew I had found the direction for the new album,”
Kirkland says. “It reverberates with the sound of Crystal Method classics like ‘Name of
the Game’ and has some of the gnarliness of ‘Vapor Trail.’ It’s an angry, ballsy,
bombastic trip down the inner workings of the vintage ARP 2600 synth.”
Elsewhere, the emotional ballad “Ghost in the City”—co-produced with electronic
artist/producer Le Castle Vania—is a narrative-driven electronic dream that floats
through dark clouds and shredding guitars, while singer-songwriter Amy Kirkpatrick
delivers an angelic and touching vocal performance. “

“There’s a Difference,” a reimagining of the track “Difference” off The Crystal Method’s
2014 self-titled album, is a full-on alt rock hybrid that mixes melodic electronics, pulsing
bass, punching live drums and riveting vocals from singer Franky Perez.

    BoomBox
Electronic rock duo BoomBox, consisting of brothers Zion Rock Godchaux and Kinsman MacKay bring heavy organic grooves and soulful beats that penetrate through the dancefloor, and on to all facets of the human experience.

Founded in Muscle Shoals, AL in 2004 by singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Zion Rock Godchaux, BoomBox has grown and evolved alongside loyal fans across the globe. At the same time, the San Francisco Bay Area native stays true to the vibrations that have been moving bodies on the dancefloor since the beginning.

BoomBox has a signature type of groove rooted in a back-beat driven style, wrapped around smooth vocals and original lyrics. BoomBox songs also pull from a wide range of genres to cultivate a fusion of music that appeals to a broad audience. “The sound is about pulling from anything that you’d hear coming out of a boombox, and distilling into a distinctive style,” explains Godchaux. It’s this formula that gives BoomBox the unique ability to connect with any crowd regardless of age or origin.

“There’s a special kind of chemistry between two brothers playing music together,” says Godchaux. BoomBox shows are characterized by a mixture of drum machines and live-mixed computer beats laid down by Mackay, which create the foundation for Godchaux’s electric guitar riffs and soulful vocals to layer on top of.

In addition to touring with their live sets, the duo can also be found dropping down and dirty DJ sets at special club and festival appearances. Regardless of which form of BoomBox you may encounter, be prepared to be getting down like there’s no tomorrow.

Dirtwire stands poised between ancient Mother Earth and modern technology, a blend of ethnomusicology and the psychedelic trance state, gut-bucket delta blues and what the band variously dubs “back-porch space cowboy blues, swamptronica, and electro-twang.” It’s a sound informed by Dirtwire’s travels and performances around the globe, where East meets West and North joins South. From the favelas in Brazil, Femi Kuti’s Shrine in Lagos, Tokyo’s bluegrass clubs, Ayahuasca ceremonies in Central America, Gamelan performances in Bali, desert festivals in the Australian Outback, and the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s modernized new capital Astana, the band spreads its message by building bridges across musical cultures in their own unique way.

Dirtwire plays an array of instruments both ancient and modern, including West African kamale ngonis, jaw harps, space fiddles, whamola basses, Rickenbacher electric 12 string guitars, bowed Banjos and mouth harps from around the globe, all interwoven into modern laptop beat creation. Hailing from the underground west coast electronic bass music scene Dirtwire finds itself at the forefront of experimental electronic music production mixing in their wide array of world instruments with sampled beats and 808’s. Dirtwire’s live shows are a communal psychedelic journey, ranging from down home boot stomping get downs, to bass and blues electronic mashups, to ethereal cinematic beat driven soundscapes. Woven into each is the exploration of where live instruments meet computer production, and where tradition meets experimentation.

Alex Medellin aka Late Night Radio is a Denver-based musician, producer, and pillar of the Colorado electronic music scene. His unique hybrid electronic sound is inspired by classic soul and third coast hip-hop.

“The easiest way to describe my music is, ‘Electronic music for people who don’t really like electronic music’,” Alex explains. “There’s hip-hop bass and beats, which keep it relevant. However, I’m taking it into new territory.”

It’s also a style he’s been working towards perfecting for nearly a decade. The Houston native bounced from New Orleans to Austin to Temecula and eventually Big Bear. During 2011, he started composing music for online videos and commercials before relocating to Colorado and going full-time in 2014. Along the way, he released a series of fan favorite albums—Concrete College [2012], Far Into the Night [2013], Soap Box [2014], Reflective Tangents [2016], Sunday [2018], Further Into the Night [2019], plus two collaborative albums with Canadian rapper Def3, Small World [2017] and Weddings & Funerals [2021].  In 2022, Late Night Radio released the bass EP Back Around on Philos Records and the 10th installment of his Vinyl Restoration series.

2023 has started off with several collaborations – “Hold On” with Motifv, a remix of Maddy O’Neal’s “Climb On”, “Blindfold Yourself” and “Storm Clouds Rising” on Daily Bread’s new LP Invisible Cinema, “Emerald City” with Michal Menert, and now a new full-length album on the way - Pocket Full of Dreams, out October 20th on Philos Records.

In the end, the moniker Late Night Radio reflects the vibrant versatility at the heart of the sound.  “At 3AM, DJs will play whatever they want on the radio,” he leaves off. “That’s what I’m doing. It’s a very eclectic mix. It’s who I am.”

What’s thicker, our eyeliner or our guitar strings?
The Surfrajettes are a four-piece instrumental combo from Toronto, ON, Canada. Since  forming in late 2015, the band has charmed audiences with their clever mix of psychedelic rock  and reverb-drenched surf music, sky-high beehives, go-go boots, and eyeliner as thick as their  guitar strings.
The band achieved viral online notoriety from their home-made performance videos and their feature by Norman’s Rare Guitars in LA. The debut 45 single “Party Line / Toxic” released late 2018 on Hi-Tide Recordings to immediate success. The band has toured extensively in its support, including performances on The Beach Boys Cruise, The Melissa Etheridge Cruise,  at Sea.Hear.Now, Nashville Boogie, Wild O Fest in Mexico City, The New England Shake Up!, Surf Guitar 101 Convention, Tiki Oasis & Hi-Tide Summer Holiday: Asbury ParkThe band released the follow up single “Hale’iwa Hustle / Banzai Pipeline” in 2020, supported by a festival appearance at Hi-Tide Winter Holiday: Pittsburgh. The group spent the rest of  2020 and most of 2021 writing and recording their debut LP “Roller Fink” - in stores worldwide  April 22, 2022 from Hi-Tide Recordings / Virgin Music. The album will be available for purchase for the very first time following their performance at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly  Weekend 25 car show.
The Surfrajettes are guitarists Shermy Freeman and Nicole Damof, bassist Sarah Butler, and drummer Samantha Maloney. When not on tour, the group is busy woodshedding in their secret beach hut, sewing new miniskirts, debating vintage gear, and daydreaming about  performing in a Quentin Tarantino movie.

The Tailspins' debut EP is a dazzling fusion of jump blues, pre-war jazz, 1950s rock, and swing that transports listeners back to the golden eras of American music. Drawing inspiration from legends like Cab Calloway, Louis Prima and C.W. Stoneking, The Tailspins infuse their sound with a modern energy, creating a vibrant and irresistible sonic experience. Their talent and versatility were recognized by Jack White, who invited the duo to support his “Supply Chain Issues” tour in 2022. With their debut EP, The Tailspins solidify their place as a rising force in the contemporary music scene, revitalizing and reinventing the sounds of the past for a new generation

    Big Something
Hailing from the North Carolina countryside, or “The Middle of Nowhere,” as it’s proudly dubbed on their debut album, the 6 headed musical monster known as 'Big Something' has steadily become one of the most unique and exciting rock bands to emerge from the Southeast. Their musical alchemy is deeply rooted in the strong bond of its members—Nick MacDaniels [lead vocals, guitar], Jesse Hensley [lead guitar, vocals], Casey Cranford [saxophone, E.W.I. “Electronic Wind Instrument”], Ben  Vinograd [drums], Josh Kagel [keys, trumpet], and Matt Laird [bass].

After over a decade of touring together with 7 full-length studio albums produced by GRAMMY-nominee John Custer and even their own Summer music festival The Big What?, Big Something has emerged as a grassroots phenomenon in the live music community.

“I’m proud that we’ve stuck together through all of this,” notes Nick. “We have our own unique thing as a group, and I’m very excited about where it’s always been going.”

The band has progressively evolved their catalog with each subsequent release. From their debut album Stories from the Middle of Nowhere in 2010, through fan favorites a la Big Something [2013], Truth Serum [2014], Tumbleweed [2017], The Otherside [2018], and Escape [2020], they have constantly pushed the boundaries of their sound. Among many highlights, “Song For Us” and “Love Generator” have accumulated millions of Spotify streams, while their performances at Sweetwater 420 Fest, Lock’n, Electric Forest, Peach Music Festival, Summer Camp, High Sierra and 10 years of their own festival, The Big What? have further solidified their place as luminaries of progressive improvisational rock.

Their seventh studio album, Headspace [out 11/17 on Truth Serum Records], is significant for the band in many ways. Featuring a collection of songs written over the past few years as the world emerged from a strange moment in history, Headspace was inspired in large part by the ongoing conversations surrounding mental health. As the band releases each new single, they will also spotlight several non-profit organizations focused on helping people navigate mental health and wellness. Headspace will also mark the band’s last studio release with founding members Doug Marshall (bass) and Josh Kagel (keys/trumpet), both of whom announced their retirement from touring in 2023.

For the new album, Big Something journeyed to Cannon Falls, MN to track at the legendary Pachyderm Recording Studios— birthplace of Nirvana’s In Utero. Accompanied by longtime producer John Custer, they lived together in a guest house overlooking a serene trout stream tucked away into nature.

“We cooked dinner together every night, recorded all day, and really enjoyed a special moment in time making this album,” Nick goes on. “It was such a cool bonding experience. We really locked in together musically and tried to tap into the special energy at Pachyderm.”
