The High Point University Community Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Brian Meixner, performs its final concert of the 2020-21 season, Going Places. This concert includes music from around the globe and is a celebration of the orchestra’s perseverance throughout the pandemic.
The performance will feature three HPU students, winners of the annual HPU Concerto Competition: Mikaela Olmsted, Adam Cunningham, and Noah Sigsworth. This orchestra, these fine students, and all of our graduating seniors are truly Going Places! Join us for a special evening of music and the rare opportunity these days to attend a live performance!

About Teea:
With four studio albums, frequent Grand Ole Opry opening performances, TV appearances, and a passion for authentic story-telling, Teea Goans is a country music darling, who will get your boots tappin'. Goans grew up in rural Missouri near the Kansas border and first experienced country music via an AM radio station. Teea is passionate about classic country, so passionate that you can bet you'll hear a steel guitar during her performance.
About Chelsea:
An American Idol Top 12 contestant, Chelsea Sorrell, provides audiences a powerful vocal performance with her band, Runaway Train. Chelsea and her band command attention with songs from Leeann Rimes to Lady Gaga. A native of Stokesdale, NC, Chelsea began singing in church. As she grew, so did her opportunities. She became a featured vocalist across top North Carolina venues for local-turned-national-sensation, The Chris Lane Band. This experience gave her the confidence to audition for American Idol, which led to an international tour. Today, Chelsea travels the nation spreading the love of music.

High Point Theatre is one of the finest performing arts and gallery spaces in the southeast! The auditorium is an intimate venue with continental seating for 900. (There are no center aisles- the only aisles are on the far left and right hand sides of the auditorium.)
