Peter White-
WEBSITE

Over the years, Peter White has maintained a reputation as one of the most versatile and prolific acoustic guitarists on the contemporary jazz landscape. Armed with an unparalleled combination of lyricism and energy, he combines elements of jazz, pop and classical guitar to create a sound that is singular and at the same time accessible to a broad audience.

In a career that spans nearly four decades, over a dozen solo recordings and countless performances, White insists that it’s the faces in the crowd and the fans that keep the experience fresh. “I’ll play a live show, and someone will come to me afterward and say, ‘Oh, I loved this CD,’ or ‘This song helped me through a bad time,’” he explains. “Or I get emails from people saying, ‘Oh, I love the way you covered one of my favorite songs on your record back in 1994.’ The idea that someone can write me an email and tell me about something I did on a record that was released fifteen years ago – you can’t buy that. That’s priceless. That’s what keeps me going – the idea that people out there really care about what I do, the idea that I’ve made a difference for someone.”

John, Paul, George and Ringo. No last names needed. The Beatles were that iconic, innovative and influential. Join Noel & Maria and their all-star band as they present an evening of classic Beatles hits, songs you have definitely heard before but that you have never heard before, including “Let It Be,” “Blackbird,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Can’t Buy Me Love” and many, many more.

MARION MEADOWS
LISTEN
WEBSITE
Meadows was born in West Virginia and grew up in Stamford, Connecticut. He began playing the clarinet and studying classical music at the age of nine. He started playing tenor sax in high school, and then migrated to soprano sax. His passion for various types of music led him down an eclectic musical path. He was intrigued by the styles of jazz musicians, like Stanley Turrentine, Sidney Bichet, Johnny Hodges, John Coltrane, Sonny Stitt, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Dexter Gordon, Cannonball Adderley, Coleman Hawkins, Sonny Fortune, Joe Henderson, Grover Washington and many others. After studying jazz at Rippowam High School in Stamford, CT with Anthony Truglia, Meadows attended Berklee College of Music. There he majored in arranging and composition. He later went to the SUNY Purchase School for the Arts. During his college years he played in a number of bands including disco, R&B and various jazz ensmbles. I got a lot of sideman jobs in college, and I have always said I got my real graduate degree playing clubs, says Meadows, who perfected his craft studying with Sonny Fortune, Joe Henderson, Dave Liebman and Eddie Daniels. “Not long after I finished school, (drummer) Norman Connors recorded one of my songs, “Invitation” and then asked me to join his band. I later produced his Passion album with my colleague Jacques Burvick (Aquarium Dream) . Things just fell into place. Meadows first hit the airwaves in 1991 with “For Lovers Only”, but his career really began one day in the late ‘80s at New York’s Grand Central Station. He had been a sideman with Connors for three years, with only vague notions of eventually going solo. One day, while waiting for a train, he pulled out his horn and began playing under the huge dome. His sweet sound caught the attention of fellow traveler, producer and TV composer Jay Chattaway, who happened to be passing by on his way to the train. Chattaway was so impressed with Meadows’ sound that he hooked Meadows up with legendary keyboardist Bob James. Meadows and James collaborated on a recording which unfortunately went unreleased. The experience put him on the road to his eventual success. Meadows hooked up with numerous artists and musicians and became a well known sideman in his own right, recording or performing over the years with Brook Benton, Eartha Kitt, Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carne, The Temptations, Michael Bolton, Angela Bofill, Will Downing , Bob Baldwin, Chuck Loeb, John Lee, among many others. In the late ‘80s, Meadows stretched his boundaries by becoming a member of a New York avant-garde band called the Aboriginal Music Society.

TYGRESSA
WEBSITE

Tygressa has been singing since a very young age and singing Natalie Cole music since the tender age of 11, where the tune ‘I’m Catching Hell (Living Here Alone)’ was one of the very first songs that was intriguing to her ear.  She comes from a musically inclined and talented family where her mom, sisters and brothers sing, play instruments, and love to dance.  Tygressa’s father (deceased) was also a musician…he played percussion.  Music was always in their home and her mom enjoyed joining the children in dance and song. Tygressa remembers having very little growing up in a one-parent household, but recalls having all that really mattered: family, love, food, and of course music.

Tygressa Sings Natalie…Remembering Natalie Cole, a tribute, along with The Natalie Cole Tribute Band, has turned this “bucket list,” “one and done” dream into the highly sought-after show it has become today, having performed notable stages such as 8 performances aboard the 2022 Soul Train Cruise, the legendary and historic Blues Alley, Birchmere Music Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and now, Middle C Jazz!  This is a show that every lover of great music and of Natalie Cole would not want to miss!
