EmmalineLISTENWATCHWEBSITEThough still in the early stages of her blossoming career, 24-year-old vocalist, violinist and songwriter, Emmaline, has accomplished an impressive laundry list of achievements so far. From being featured in top music publications such as Rolling Stone and American Songwriter to performing as the opening act for 10-time-GRAMMY winner Chaka Khan on her first ever US tour, this Cincinnati based, independent artist captivates the hearts of all who hear her smoky, jazz-infused, genre-fluid voice. Using the power of social media, Emmaline kick started her career in 2018 by sharing acoustic covers of popular songs and original material to her social media platforms (@emmalineofficial) where she now boasts nearly 500k followers. Emmaline shines on stage whether it be online or in person, and has performed countless sold-out shows at some of the country’s most notable jazz clubs, music venues and festivals. Her independently released EPs, “All My Sweetest Dreams” and “Necessity” have organically generated well over 1 million streams on Spotify alone and have listeners on the edge of their seats awaiting a debut album drop.

Joe GransdenWEBSITEWATCHJoe performs the world over. Wherever he appears, there’s music—exciting and romantic music—the kind of music audiences love to hear and dance to. Twelve albums and counting, Joe digs deep and plays the music his fans want to hear. Joe Gransden Public Relations Information Trumpeter/vocalist moves forward in his promising career Band leader Joe Gransden has performed worldwide and released 16 CDs under his own name. Renowned first for the hard bop approach of his trumpet, Gransden’s singing voice has been compared to that of Chet Baker and Frank Sinatra. "When I first heard Joe nine years ago, I immediately thought of Chet," says Jazziz magazine critic James Rozzi, “but lately his voice has taken on its own style with a deeper resonance. His trumpet has always alternated lyricism with an aggressive, angular approach. He has the ability to cover the gamut of emotions." Joe is from just north of Manhattan, New York. Coming from a family full of musicians, Joe’s introduction to music came early on through his father, a gifted singer and pianist. His grandfather was a trumpeter of merit, playing professionally his whole life throughout New York. On his mother’s side of the family was the piano virtuoso Carmen Cavallero. "Music has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember,” says the unassuming Joe Gransden.

Robyn SpringerRobyn Springer is a professional vocalist whose richly diverse musical background includes a debut R&B solo album (Makin’ Moves, Virgin Records/ Cardiac); featured vocal performances on albums by such artists as contemporary jazz saxophonist Najee to Fugees’ alternative/rapper John Forte; and various live tours from London to Greece to New York, where she appeared with such legends as George

Benson, Herbie Hancock, and Kirk Whalem. A native of New York City, Springer has recorded on such labels as Atlantic, Transparent and Verve/ Forecast. Springer, a first-alto, boasts a versatile and sultry style known to transport audiences from church pews to Delta juke joints to downtown jazz cafes. Her latest album, The Acoustic Project, is an eclectic collaboration with guitarist and songwriter Greg Cagle.

Frank McComb- Vocal and Keyboards

Demetrice Everette- Drums

Clarence “Tres” Raeford- BassFrank McComb Frank McComb is a divine soul man who speaks with the native tongue of soul, jazz, blues and pop. His virtuoso vocal and piano work has made him not only an indispensable and highly sought after session musician, but a favorite on the soul, jazz and R&B scenes. His fans affectionately describe his work as the perfect combination of Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. Frank has worked with many of the entertainment industry's giants including but not limited to: Prince, Branford Marsalis, George Duke, Patrice Rushen, The Rude Boys, Phil Perry, Tommy Davidson, Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Songwriting duo Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, rap duo D.J. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (Will Smith), Frankie Beverly and Maze, Teena Marie, Lalah Hathaway, Terri Lynn Carrington, Phyllis Hyman, Valerie Simpson, Philip Bailey, and more. After signing to Motown's short-lived jazz label "MoJazz" from 1992 until 1994, Frank was able to lend his vocal chops to the Buckshot LeFonque (Featuring Branford Marsalis) hit song "Another Day". It was this featured performance that would lead to a recording contract with Columbia Records in 1998 where Frank would record and release his debut CD "Love Stories" in 2000. In 2003, Frank would go on to sign with Malibu Sessions for the release of his 2nd CD entitled "The Truth Vol.1". After a bit of soul searching, Frank decided to release his works independently and in 2004 he released his 3rd CD, "Straight From The Vault", an entirely self-written, self-produced and self recorded CD that would win him the "SoulTracks Readers Choice Award" for "Best Album of the Year" and earn him a spotlight with Jill Scott in an August 2005 publication Oprah Winfrey's highly respected "O Magazine" as one of Ms. Scott's favorite CD's. "Straight From The Vault" also became Prince's favorite body of work by Frank McComb at the time. "Straight From The Vault" was followed by twelve album releases between 2006 and 2017 under Frank's own Boobeescoot Music label, the latest CD being his first with his Amsterdam based quartet "No Rehearsal/Live in Amsterdam". Frank McComb was honored by Music Radar as the 27th greatest keyboard player of all time.

Songwriter. Actress. Artist. Storyteller. There are defining moments that shape the unique story of our lives. Carrie loves to share her story through musical performances, interweaving known jazz and blues standards with her versatile, award-winning original material. Whether taking a “Sentimental Journey” while reminiscing on her album “Home” or singing the blues on her latest album “Waves”, Carrie, a recent breast cancer survivor, shares hope, joy, struggle and peace through music.

Born to a musical family, Carrie studied classical piano beginning at age 7. She was performing Mozart by age 9 at her local church where her father was the pastor and her mother was the choir director. She began writing her own compositions for fun, never realizing where the journey would take her.

By college Carrie was performing on stages across the east coast. An observer of life and people, Carrie’s writing expressed everything from faith to simple stories of everyday life. Carrie lived in Nashville for four years, which allowed her the privilege of fully studying the art of songwriting under the tutelage of world-class songwriters. She worked as a session singer and performed at many clubs across the city.  She also recorded and released her independent CD project “Redemption”, garnering a semi-finalist award with the UK International Songwriter’s Competition for her song,“When Love Was Green”.

Bob BaldwinWATCHLISTENWEBSITEBob Baldwin is an American Pianist/Composer/Arranger/Inventor. The Mt. Vernon, NY native has recorded on six of the seven inhabitable continents, and while Antarctica is not on his recording bucket list, his international list, including Dubai, Brazil, South Africa, Spain, UK, Canada, is quite impressive. "Whether it's a massive festival crowd of 30,000 or an intimate restaurant audience of 60, I refuse to rob my audience of great music and a good experience", says Baldwin.  The pianist's personal goal is to release a 12-song project per year, and since 1988, he has released over 34 projects, of which 27 are owned by his company, City Sketches Records. By virtue of his ownership of music, he's compared to Prince and James Brown. A fan once coined hi "The Ray Charles of Smooth Jazz". Bob’s upcoming disc, “The Stay at Home Series” marks an industry adjustment. Recorded in 2020-2021, this is a closed live recording in the studio with some of his New York musical compadres. With Cafe Da Silva and Chembo Corniel on percussion, and his longtime music friends Tony Lewis and Dave Anderson on drums and bass, the new project will spit out a Volume 2 in the near future. “Being a musician, we obviously had to make adjustments to the way we all do music,” says the Native New Yorker. “Concerts were eliminated in 2020, but fortunately, owning your own music makes you halfway Covid-proof.” His 'theme' projects of Stevie Wonder, Thom Bell and Michael Jackson have all charted mightily on the Billboard Jazz charts, all hitting in the top 15. TwitterFacebook"B Positive" releases September 1st. Samara Joy WEBSITEBronx-born Samara Joy burst onto the New York jazz scene in 2019 when she won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. Following the 2021 release of her self-titled debut album Downbeat called the 22-year-old artist a “deeply emotive vocalist, with power that usually takes a lot of living to master.”

Growing up, music was a pervasive presence, due to the inspiration of her paternal grandparents, Elder Goldwire and Ruth McLendon, who led the well-known Philadelphia-based gospel group, The Savettes. Her father toured with the renowned gospel artist Andrae Crouch, and her home was filled with the sounds of not only her father’s songs and songwriting process, but the inspiration of many gospel and R&B artists, including Stevie Wonder, Lalah Hathaway, George Duke, Kim Burrell, and many others. She was a participant in the Weill Music Institute Count Me In program, which provides high-quality vocal training and audition preparation for eighth-grade students in New York City auditioning for performing arts high schools.

Joy’s first exposure to jazz was while attending Fordham High School for the Arts, where she performed regularly with the jazz band, eventually winning Best Vocalist at the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington competition. However, jazz wasn’t her focus until the time came to select a college. Wanting to attend a state school close to home, she picked the State University of New York at Purchase, gaining acceptance into their acclaimed jazz program with a faculty that includes many jazz masters (including Pasquale Grasso and drummer Kenny Washington, who both appear on her debut recording.) From this point, she began to pursue her jazz studies with an intense passion, eventually being named the Ella Fitzgerald Scholar.

Her self-titled debut recording was released in July of 2021 on Whirlwind Recordings. Within the album liner notes, veteran writer Will Friedwald comments that Samara Joy is “a fantastic collection of highly original new arrangements, beautifully sung by a rising talent, and a very impressive first album. People are forever using the word 'timeless' as if it were the greatest praise ever, but in a way, Samara’s voice and her music seem to belong to all time, like she’s connected to the entire history of jazz all at once - as if she were existing in every era simultaneously, she sounds both classic and contemporary.”

Winning the Vaughan competition was transformational for Joy, and the release of her debut recording has brought her instantly recognizable sound to the jazz world. Moving forward, Joy will continue to dig deep to further find inspiration without losing sight of the innate simplicity that makes her sound shine.

Gena ChambersA true Southern girl Gena Chambers hails from Columbia SC, where the Baptist Church was the catalyst for her humble beginnings. Because her family is rooted in music she flourished and her love of it was carefully cultivated. While Gena favors RnB her musical palate includes tastes for Jazz, Pop, Country and Hip Hop as well.

Gena’s singer/songwriter/ performer talents provided the opportunity for her to travel all over the country however, she settled in the burgeoning city of Charlotte NC. While there Gena was able to assemble a band with which she regularly performs at various venues and events around the city. Some of her more notable acts include performing with or opening for jazz legends such as Gerald Albright, Mike Phillips, Marion Meadows, Magdalena Chovoncova, Kirk Whalum, Will Downing, Jonathan Butler, Oli Silk, Bob Baldwin, and Johnathan Fritzen; RnB giants like Raheem DaVaughn, Sheila E, and Shelea.

Aside from celebrating with and for her fellow musicians Gena was also bestowed the prestigious honor of performing for President Barack Obama and the Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016 at the Democratic National Convention.

Gena’s passion for music is evident in her life’s work as she has painstakingly crafted a multifaceted repertoire. She is the quintessential artist, a true showpiece of the Charlotte music scene.

John DillardWATCHWEBSITEProfusely creative, highly energetic, sensitive, and yet dynamic: These are a few words that describe the artistry of this extraordinary artist and bassist. From Gospel to RnB, Funk to Jazz, John’s versa-le style has been a key element for many artists, producers, and musical directors worldwide.

27 number 1 hits, over 60 top 10 hits. Motown had so many hits that one could put together five separate shows of their music and still have plenty of songs left over.  The exemplary songwriting of Smokey Robinson, Holland/Dozier/Holland, as well as Berry Gordy himself, along with the interpretation by such legends as Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Diana Ross and the Supremes and many more has left us with a repertoire that is prime for reinterpretation.  Join Noel & Maria as they reinterpret and reimagine the music that defined the 60’s, the Motown Sound! Personnel:Noel FreidlineMaria HowellJuan RollanZack PageJustin VarnesNOEL & MARIANOEL FREIDLINE WEBSITEMARIA HOWELL WEBSITEMaria Howell and Noel Freidline define chemistry.  Musically they breath as one, communicating almost telepathically as they explore and re-interpret some of the best music of the last 80 years.  Always approaching the music from “the left,” Noel and Maria have made a name for themselves as they offer listeners something they have heard, but that they have never heard before.  Combine this fresh musical approach with a rapport and witty banter that harkens back to the days of the Rat Pack, and you have Noel and Maria in their element:  on stage, thrilling an audience at every turn.
