    Tenille Townes with Alexa Wildish

An astute observer of the human condition, Tenille Townes’ discography is rife with stories that reverberate with heavy truths. Following the release of a duet with world-superstar Bryan Adams, the revered songwriter, and CCMA Entertainer of the Year, released a five-song project called the Train Track Work tapes in 2023. Townes conceptualized, wrote, and recorded the EP on a 15-day, 3,000-mile, train trip where she played 65 shows at stops in communities across Canada.

Townes is a 15-time Canadian Country Music Association Award winner (CCMA), a two-time JUNO Awards Country Album of the Year Winner, and a two-time ACM Award-winner. She is also the first female artist in Media base Canada history to achieve two No. 1 singles (Music Canada Gold-certified “Jersey on The Wall (I’m Just Asking),” Music Canada Platinum-certified and RIAA Gold-certified “Somebody’s Daughter”).

Townes has opened for legendary artists such as Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain and George Strait. Townes has also toured extensively outside of the US–last year she performed for fans in Australia, Ireland, Germany, and had a sold-outrun of headlining shows in the UK. Her international touring efforts earned her a nomination for the CMA International Artist Achievement Award.

A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, Townes has been featured by NPR, Variety, Refinery 29, Billboard, Rolling Stone, NBC’s “TODAY,” BBC and more. Additionally, she has raised over $2.5 million for Big Hearts For Big Kids, a non-profit she started when she was 15years old to benefit a youth shelter in her hometown, which has grown to support US-based organizations including the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee, S.A.F.E. Animal Haven, and the Manna House.

Sean Hayes is a Bay Area singer-songwriter who makes music to dance to or cry to, or maybe both at the same time. He was born in New York City, raised in North Carolina, and honed his earliest musical chops in a band playing Irish and old-time tunes — but his unique style of deeply felt, R&B-inflected folk really matured during his two decades singing and playing in cafes, bars, and night clubs of San Francisco.

His voice layers wonder and heartache upon grit and gravel, sex and soul. His lyrics carry an unpretentious wisdom. He’s dueted with Aimee Mann; been covered by the Be Good Tanyas; and toured with Anais Mitchell (performing songs from Hadestown, before it was an award-winning Broadway show). His songs have appeared on NPR, NBC and HBO.

    Esmé Patterson

Esmé Patterson releases her long-awaited 5th full-length album, Notes from Nowhere, early this October, creating a genre-avoidant musical realm that blooms with honesty and magic. Ever provocative, poignant, polymorphic, and prescient (her apocalypse-themed There Will Come Soft Rains, was released on the first day of Covid19 lockdowns in March 2020), Patterson’s latest release returns to the (super)natural world, evoking the chill of dead winter, parched-forest lightning, midday moons, and the cicada hum of summer swamps. Esmé’s intense performances arrest her audience in ears-open shared contemplation. Her music churns and crackles until you find yourself frozen, staring into the fire.

A TRIBUTE TO JONI MITCHELL FEATURING COLORADO’S PREMIER MUSICIANS!
FEATURING: LIZ BARNEZ, REBECCA FOLSOM, AND CELESTE KRENZ
WITH: ERIC MOON, STEVE IVEY, ERIC THORIN, AND ERIC STRAUMANIS

Join us for a celebration of the songs and artistry of Joni Mitchell as we bring her songs to life!  Often referred to as the greatest contemporary songwriter, Joni has been a huge influence in our lives and music over the years.  Joni’s career has spanned over half a century, and in that time, she explored and experimented in many genres of music and made them her own.  We have selected some of our favorite Joni songs and aspire to honor the original and explore our individual artistry through her songs. Additionally, we will play some of our own tunes that were directly inspired by Joni Mitchell.  Liz Barnez, Rebecca Folsom, and Celeste Krenz will be singing and providing harmony vocals, guitar, and piano. Accompanying will be a group of Colorado’s finest musicians: Eric Moon on keys, Steve Ivey on drums, Eric Thorin on bass, and Eric Straumanis on guitar.

    FEATURING:
Liz Barnez: Liz Barnez has been a touring performing songwriter for over 35 years.  Born and raised in New Orleans, Liz’s music is informed by the rhythms and musical traditions of her place of birth.  She moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where she continues to write, record, and perform. Liz is currently in the studio recording and is releasing a single a month in 2024 culminating in the release of the full album toward the end of the year!

Rebecca Folsom: Colorado singer-songwriter and international touring artist, Rebecca Folsom is on a mission to change the world one listener at a time! Rebecca has released eleven albums and written and published two books of poetry.  Her latest album, Sanctuary, is a collaboration with activists, social justice organizations, and those impacted in compromised, disempowered situations.

Celeste Krenz: Former Denverite Celeste Krenz is a singer / songwriter of rare talent, with a pure, sweet voice. Her music is infused with healthy doses of pop tunefulness and folky austerity–a classic example of Nashville songwriting a la Nanci Griffith, Iris DeMent, and Emmylou Harris.

Dar Williams with Opening Act TBA

Dar Williams’ lyrics contain bouquets of optimism, delivered on melodies alternating between beguiling lightness and understated gravity. Williams strongly believes that all of us possess our own power and ability to achieve, and she rejects the exceptionalism that encourages us to “admire that yonder star,” while making us feel small and insignificant; unworthy of shining on our own but hoping to catch enough distant light to inspire some tiny accomplishment. Williams has always been very interested in how to control our future and this album has to do with the fact that at some point, you just can’t.

Like everyone else, Williams spent 2020 in that state of non-control. She and longtime producer Stewart Lerman tracked most of the album, her 12th studio recording, in November of 2019. In late February of 2020, she cut the title tune in Woodstock with bassist Gail Ann Dorsey and Larry Campbell, who produced the track and played guitars, pedal steel and twangy baritone guitar. When told they had to postpone a mid-March mixing date, Campbell said he wasn’t feeling well anyway. Turns out he’d contracted a serious case of COVID-19. That was a clear sign that at some point, you have to meet life where it meets you …the common thread throughout that these songs, the willingness to meet life as it arrives.

Dar Williams was always in the right place at the right time for the success she’s had over a 25+-year career. She rose out of the vibrant mid-90’s Boston scene, inspired by the eclectic influences of alt-rockers, Berklee jazz musicians, slam poets, and folk artists, like Patty Griffith, Melissa Ferrick, the Throwing Muses, Vance Gilbert, and Jonatha Brooke. After a year of touring non-stop with her first album, The Honesty Room, in 1994, she was invited by Joan Baez to tour in Europe and The United States.

“Good and bad things happen, and it’s not necessarily a reward or indictment. I’ve just got to meet it.” Williams observes. “Like, I’m bringing my whole life to this moment; it will surprise me, challenge me, show me where I was wrong, even make a fool out of me, but my job is to show up and not take adversity personally. Real happiness doesn't have to feel like Snoopy dancing with Woodstock; it can just be knowing you have the resilience to meet whatever comes to you. I will call that a good life.”
