    Lubbock Christian School is proud to announce the 2024 Benefit Dinner, An Evening with David Gaschen on February 26, 2024. We are excited to have this year's Benefit Dinner at The Buddy Holly Hall. This will be a Dinner Theater Event with internationally renowned vocalist and stage performer David Gaschen. He is best known for his years specifically as "The Phantom of the Opera." David is from Lubbock, graduated from Monterey High School and Texas Tech University. The Benefit Dinner is a long standing tradition for LCS and we are pleased to continue it this year with an elegant venue and an incredible performer.

    **Tickets purchased through Etix are for the performance only.  Doors open for performance ticket holders at 7:30 PM.

    The current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? are proud to present their new improv tour: WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY?


    WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? is 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song all based on audience suggestions. Cast members Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis, and Joel Murray will leave you gasping with the very witty scenes they invent before your eyes. Audience participation is key to the show so bring your suggestions and you might be asked to join the cast onstage! WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? showcases some of the improv games made famous on the long-running TV show as well as some exciting new ones, featuring musical direction by Bob Derkach.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION


    Killer Queen's first public shows were at London University, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there decades earlier. Killer Queen's UK popularity grew to such an extent they soon secured a residency in London's Strand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage - the first tribute to have a show in the West End. The band's reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad leading to an awards ceremony in Leicester Square, hosted by Suggs from Madness who presented them with the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band”. They also scored a number one hit when they were asked to recreate Queen's harmonies for “The Real Life” with Fatboy Slim.


    Lead singer Patrick Myers said “It's been an amazing journey. That first show changed my life. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most but it's a very addictive thing performing these songs. The concerts grew and grew, and we've ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It's been quite a surreal ride. Becoming regular performers Red Rocks Arena in America is another highlight. The Beatles, U2, Springsteen, Dylan all played on that stage. It's really got its own kind of magic going on there.”

    Here’s how it works: Photo Experience ticket purchasers should go to the Will Call window at the Box Office on the show day to pick up their passes and after-show instructions. Each adult and child (age two and up) in a group must have a Photo Experience ticket in order to attend. The Photo Experience will start shortly after the end of show.


    Please make sure to bring your camera, as you will want to capture every moment!

     

    Parents, please note that while most children are excited to meet their favorite characters up-close, others can feel frightened. If your child is scared or hesitant to meet Blippi, we recommend moving to the back of the line; This will allow your child the extra time they may need to warm up to Blippi and see how they interact with other children present.
