He is handsome, charming, smooth-talking, sly and romantic. No woman can resist him. Those who catch his eye find him intoxicatingly attractive. He is the legendary Don Juan…or as Mozart created him…Don Giovanni. Join us at the new Buddy Holly Hall on March 31 and April 1, 2023 at 7 pm, as Texas Tech Opera Theatre brings Mozart’s masterpiece Don Giovanni to life. The cast will include the finest graduate vocalists from the TTU School of Music, the TTU Symphony Orchestra led by Maestro Lanfranco Marcelletti, and Professor Gerald Dolter in his final appearance with TTU Opera as the Commendatore. The performance will be sung in Italian with an English supertitle translation.

Felipe Esparza is a comedian and actor, known for his stand-up specials, They’re Not Gonna Laugh at You, Translate This, and his latest dual-release on Netflix, Bad Decisions/Malas Decisiones (2 different performances in two languages), his recurring appearances on Netflix’s Gentefied, NBC’s Superstore and Adultswim’s The Eric Andre Show, as well as winning Last Comic Standing (2010), and his popular podcast called, What’s Up Fool? Felipe continues to sell out live stand-up shows in comedy clubs and theaters around the country.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit is an American southern rock/ alt-country band based in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Since his 2013 breakthrough album, Southeastern, he’s won four Grammy awards — two for Best Americana Album (Something More Than Free & The Nashville Sound) and two for Best American Roots Song (“24 Frames” & “If We Were Vampires”). Both of the award winning albums also peeked at number 1 on Billboard Country, Folk, and Rock charts. The group’s newest album, Weathervanes, will be released on June 9.
