For almost 30 years, John 5 has been one of the most in-demand guitar players on the planet. As well as a guitarist for hire, 5 has shared the stage as axe-man for Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and Rob Halford. He has also worked with an impressive array of names, from all walks of music, including KD Lang, Rod Stewart, Dave Lee Roth, Alice Cooper, Tina Guo and Steven Adler.

To call John 5 a shredder does not do him justice. There’s little he can’t put his hand to.

John 5 was born John William Lowery, on July 31st 1970, in Gross Pointe Michigan. His love of guitar began at age seven, when he began watching the Hee Haw series with his father. “I watched the guitar playing and knew that was what I wanted to do. My friends wanted to be astronauts and such but all I wanted to do was play and play and play”. Other notable influences included KISS and Jimi Hendrix.

John 5’s solo career turned out not to be a flash in the pan, and he has now released 9 studio albums, a live album and a remix album . He has worked with several special guests on those albums, including Albert Lee who called John 5 “one of the nicest guys I’ve worked with“, Steve Vai who called John “underrated”, Joe Satriani, Jim Root, Eric Johnson and many more. As well as his solo albums John 5 teamed up with the vocal talents of Joe Grah (formerly of Texas band Jibe) to form “radio rock project” Loser. Their first single, ‘Disposable Sunshine’ featured on the Fantastic Four soundtrack.

In 2015, following a series of web shows to celebrate the release of his solo album ‘Careful With That Axe”, John 5 decided to take his solo set on tour, and formed The Creatures band to support his live shows. Initially joined by long-term friend Rodger Carter on drums, the band continues touring to this day, and now work as a unit on 5’s solo albums, including ‘Season Of The Witch’, the live album ‘It’s Alive’ and 2019’s ‘Invasion’. The current line-up includes John 5, Ian Ross on bass and drummer Logan Miles Nix.

Although John 5 does less “hired gun” work, he has contributed to work with Lynryd Skynrd, Meatloaf, Ricky Martin, Rod Stewart, Motley Crue and Rod Stewart.

I’m busy, constantly busy with work but I look at who I am in the studio with or sending music to and I think  I don’t ever want it to stop.”

Formed in 2009 and named after the Douglas Adams’ favorite novel of founding vocalist/guitarist Ted Felicetti (formerly of NEPA band Split Fifty), Don’t Panic began as an endeavor where making genuine, fun rock and roll music came first and everything else second. Joining Ted were Keith Slader (bass), AJ Larsen (guitar), and Zhach Kelsch (drums). Based out of the Poconos in Northeast Pennsylvania the band quickly signed to Masquerade Recordings (ADA), released their debut EP ‘My FairWeather Friend’ and embarked on almost two years of touring supporting The Ataris, Trust Company, and several dates on the Vans Warped tour with Anthony Paesano coming in 2010 to replace Kelsch on drums. At the end of 2011 the band decided to take an unplanned break which would wind up lasting almost 8 years.

At the end of 2019 the band finally came out of their extended hiatus and immediately went to work on recording their next effort and first full length album ‘See Through it All’ which was released on Nov 27th 2020.  The band is now releasing their follow up and second full length album, 'Dark Horse' on Sept 4th, 2021 which draws heavily on the bands combined influences including Foo Fighters, Bayside, Lit, White Reaper, Motion City Soundtrack, Millencolin, Face to Face and many others.

For the uninitiated,
Steel Panther was formed in 2000. Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with four full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level You Tube status and high-profile television appearances such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Larry King Now, and FOX NFL Sunday.

Rolling Stone avowed, “There’s a reason Steel Panther have transcended their origins as a cover band playing the Sunset Strip,” while Metal Sucks declared, Steel Panther’s concept is genius...their songwriting is...preposterously snappy – and relatable.”

The tribute band Van Halen Nation will perform at the Sherman Theater on Saturday, September 18.  They are an East Coast, action-packed, classic Van Halen tribute to the David Lee Roth era.  Their show is your ticket to the 80s back when big hair, Aquanet and MTV were a way of life!

Based in South Jersey, Van Halen Nation is comprised of four of the tri-state area's top musicians. They are both visually and sonically the closest tribute to the classic Van Halen. Marc Moore (vocals), Matt Stanley (guitar), Pete Kamenakis (bass guitar) and Chris Nerone (drums) round out this powerhouse of a band. Each performance is packed full of signature David Lee Roth's acrobatics and screams to Eddie Van Halen's ground breaking guitar playing to Michael Anthony and Alex Van Halen's thunderous rhythm section.

The Four Horsemen - The Ultimate Tribute to Metallica is the only studio-quality Metallica tribute in the country. The band embraces the 'No Life Til Leather' attitude that made Metallica the Monsters of Metal during the 80's. They rip through the Bay Area Thrasher catalog with precision and unmatched energy throughout the Midwestern, North and South Eastern United States. The Four Horsemen deliver the ferocity of old school Metallica the way you heard it on the record and the way you saw it in concert back in the 80's. They focus on the first 5 releases of Metallica - what they like to call the "Black & Back" days. The Four Horsemen have performed for tens of thousands of people since 2004 and are constantly adding new cities to their schedule. They give every crowd that arena experience - playing the songs you know and love from the top metal band of all time.

Sean Perry embodies the guttural vocals and head-banging thrash energy of a young James Hetfield with the wit and sarcasm that made James infamous and an instant standout of the times with the no-frills approach, covering all the hits and deep cuts from 1982's "Kill 'Em All," to 1991's over 16x Platinum "Black Album" - one of the most sought after albums to date. The band performs an extensive amount of songs from this release as a result.

Mikey Kaufman is a guitar prodigy and effortlessly nails Kirk Hammett's solos and brings a ton of head-banging and charm to the stage as he is always interacting with the crowd with a huge smile. In short, he's an incredible guitarist with skills very few can match, but one of the most humble and friendly guys you could meet. His love for recreating the exact sounds of those killer solos shows in his playing and energy.

Matt Adkins holds down the tremendous task of filling Cliff Burton and Jason Newsted's shoes and you can instantly hear that he is up for the challenge when he's playing. His technique and not only attention to his playing but also the actual tones that the 2 very different bassists used is immediately inherent as you experience the songs and hear the clarity and familiar roar of Cliff Burton's wah throughout the various songs - something no other Metallica tribute even thinks of doing on stage, it's easy to see Matt has a love for the finer attention to detail when it comes to recreating the thundering bass lines of Metallica.

Before Lil TJay became the Internet heartthrob with delectable deliveries and streams in the multi-millions, he was just a kid from the Bronx with an equal love for Jay-Z bars and Justin Bieber songs. His mother’s favorite artists (Usher, Michael Jackson) taught him melody. Today, that melody is the 18-year-old’s gift as well as a catalyst for his embryonic hip-hop stardom. To hear the rhyme rookie’s early succession of rap hits is to experience aqua flows and stark hooks as addictive as Instagram’s discovery page. A closer listen offers the biography of a kid who survived adult sins and consequences before he was old enough to drive.

Raised in a NYC neighborhood saturated with gang culture and deficient of positivity, Lil TJay eventually earned himself a year of incarceration. Upon release, he committed himself to finding legal routes toward his music dreams. The studio would be his saving grace and destiny. His first recording birthed the heartless yet catchy “Resume.” Soon after, the flammable “Brothers” would earn him his first Internet smash. The infectious hook and sophisticated harmony snatched ears and eyes to the tune of 58 million plus YouTube viewers. The follow-up, “None of your Love” exhibited TJay’s artistic range as it swam into deeper R&B waters to express a Pitbull’s puppy love. It’s as if Jackson 5 MJ and Future turnt up in some alternate universe.

The independent hits summoned major record labels, resulting in Lil TJay’s first courting season. He weathered the rush, eventually deciding to share a home with Beyonce and Pharrell inside Columbia Records. Shortly after the Bronx native went platinum with Chicago rapper Polo G (Pop Out). The EP F.N alongside a record also named F.N is currently on the rise quickly. Visuals alone for F.N the record racking up over 11M views on youtube. With 1.5M Instagram fans and platinum SoundCloud status, TJ is a rapidly rising star, according to the cream of music media: Pitchfork to The New York Times to Fader to Rolling Stone to countless more. It appears that the future success of Lil TJay will also have no chill button.

“These songs should make you want to fall in love with somebody, or miss somebody, or want to do something outrageous with your life,” says Justin Furstenfeld, vocalist and lyricist for the unstoppable alt-rock band Blue October. He’s talking about the tracks on the quintet’s tenth studio album, This Is What I Live For, recently released on October 23rd, 2020. How does it feel to have a Top 10 single with “Oh My My,” your first Top 10 single since 2009? “Honestly, I’m blown away. We started releasing our albums independently several years ago. It’s good to see that it doesn’t matter what label you’re on. As long as you’re writing good songs you have chance to be heard.” The San Marcos, Texas-based band (vocalist Justin Furstenfeld, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye, guitarist Will Knaak, bassist Matt Noveskey, and drummer Jeremy Furstenfeld) have earned a reputation for being remarkably dynamic, consistently delivering anthemic songs filled with rousing melodies and precision playing. And with this latest release, The Is What I Live For, the members are even more in synch than ever because they wrote much of the material while they were on the road supporting their last album, 2018’s I Hope You’re Happy (Debuted #1 on the Billboard Alternative Album Chart and #1 Billboard Independent Album Chart.), often finetuning songs in front of live audiences. In this way, the song “I Will Follow You” has already become a favorite even before it was recorded for the new album. “This album is going to catch some people off-guard,” Matt says. “A lot of it is about interpersonal relationships - years and years of marriage, growing older, and some of the issues that you may run into with that. I know that other albums are about that, but we get into some corners of life that we haven’t explored before.” This determination to always speak the truth, even if it’s difficult, is the way Blue October has operated from the very start, since Justin, Jeremy and Ryan formed the band in 1995 when they were still in high school. When Matt joined three years later, Blue October really coalesced as the members found inspiration in bands like A Perfect Circle, Jimmy Eat World, Radiohead, and The Cure - then reworked those disparate influences into an epic yet introspective sound that is entirely their own. Blue October members themselves have admitted in characteristically candid fashion, things certainly haven’t always been easy. Their struggles over the years with substance abuse, and their subsequent treatment and recovery, have been well-documented in their songs. They also allowed themselves to be filmed over the course of seven tumultuous years for a documentary, Get Back Up, which was released on May 21, 2020. The film takes an unwavering look at the band - and Justin, in particular - as they grapple with the fallout from addiction and the resulting
damage done to their families, professional relationships, and each other. It is ultimately a redemptive story, with all members now sober and mending their relationships, but not without going over some harrowing ground first.

Gojira tends to operate in polar extremes. “I can’t help but see humanity as a parasite,” Gojira’s co-founding guitarist and principal songwriter Joe Duplantier explains, “and yet the most beautiful things come out of humans.” To that end, the French quartet— Duplantier and his brother Mario [drums], Christian Andreu [guitar], and Jean-Michel Labadie [bass]—have spent
the past 15 years translating this duality into a distinctive sound: dark, crushing metal brightened by triumphant arena-rock melodies, contrast-heavy and emotionally charged. Enter 2016's Magma, whereupon Gojira found strength—and crossover success—through a
singular commitment to self-reflection. The intensely personal record, penned in memory of the Duplantier brothers' late mother, was a painful significant turning point for the French group. It debuted at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 chart, topped the Billboard “Hard Rock Albums” chart (a first for a French band), and netted nominations for Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance (for "Silvera") at the 59th annual Grammy Awards. Numerous global headlining tours, including a stint with Metallica, followed. Coming out of Magma, Gojira weren't just one of the biggest metal bands on the scene— they were one of biggest rock bands in the world, unified and self-emboldened.

And so, Gojira made a group decision: for album number seven, Fortitude, they’d have some damn fun. In late 2019, the brothers Duplantier returned to Silver Cord Studio, their Ridgewood, Queens, headquarters, to begin work on new, self-produced Gojira material, culled from ideas they’d developed over the past two years. “With this album, we wanted to come back with more
joy, more power, and more positivity about life in general,” Joe explains. “We’re so lucky to do what we love; it’s not like we were depressed or anything, but we had something in our system to express Magma— and we felt like it was time for something else— something that is all about strength.”

"The writing process was very thrilling and exciting," Mario adds. "Joe and I really dug deep into every song, paying particular attention to the structures and arrangements. Every idea, every single riff, was analyzed with a fine-tooth comb: everything from the tonality of each instrument and scales used, to the dynamics, interpretation, and tempo. We left nothing to chance. ” Of course, 2020 had other plans. Just as Fortitude was nearing completion— halfway through the mixing process, to be exact— COVID-19 hit, bringing Gojira, along with the rest of the world to an abrupt halt. While waiting out the lockdown back home in France with his family,
Joe re-examined the songs from a post-pandemic perspective; not only did they fit the turmoil of the time, in hindsight, they were downright prophetic. “In a way, I saw these songs being born again with a new meaning,” he says. “Every single song ever written resonates differently these days, but it’s almost like we felt like this was going to happen.”

Pioneers. Innovators. These are but a few of the monikers that Yonder Mountain String Band has worn since their inception. From the first Yonder shows in the fall of 1998 to their drive-in tour of 2020, this touring force has brought their adventurous musical spirit to countless venues for nearly a quarter century.

Yonder Mountain’s early success was fueled by their desire to make a sound distinctly their own, whether performed on crowded stages or selling out the hallowed Red Rocks Amphitheater. Their traditional take on bluegrass sound was fused with their diverse musical influences ranging anywhere from punk rock to the Grateful Dead.

The combination of the band’s unique personalities, extended musical improvisations, their jam band fan culture and their collaborative effort on writing and arranging original songs which span multiple genres—attracted more of a freewheeling jam crowd than the traditional bluegrass scene which, in turn, exposed a whole new generation of fans to Bluegrass.

No band that has stood the test of time is without transformation and Yonder Mountain has had their fair share of change. In 2014, Yonder Mountain and Jeff Austin announced they were parting ways. Austin went on to tour full time with his side project, The Jeff Austin Band, with a rotating lineup of musicians playing with him until his unexpected death in 2019.

Yonder's ninth studio album will be released in late 2021. It features founding members Adam Aijala on guitar, Ben Kaufmann on bass, Dave Johnston on banjo, alongside the 2015 addition of Allie Kral on fiddle, and newcomer, multi-instrumentalist Nick Piccininni handling duties on mandolin, second fiddle, and anything stringed.

Yonder Mountain String Band is a quintessential ensemble honing its craft night after night on the road; the result is music that doesn’t stand still, it’s always progressing and breaking unprecedented ground.

Since coming to life in 2005, gold-selling hard rock provocateurs In This Moment have presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of “mother” figure and frontwoman Maria Brink—joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel, and Kent Dimmel. As millions convened upon the group’s otherworldly and unforgettable concerts, they quietly emerged as one of the most influential and impactful bands of the 21st century. To date, the quintet have garnered two gold singles—“Blood” and “Whore”—and one gold album, Blood [2012]. The latter notably launched a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard Top 200 with Black Widow [2014] and Ritual [2017]. Bringing their total stream tally well past 200 million as of 2020. In a 4-out-of-5 star review, KERRANG! called it “their best vehicle to date” as Alternative Press claimed, “Maria Brink is the Lady Gaga of the metal world” and went on to add, “Ritual flourishes as the metal love child of art-pop, gospel, Morrissey and Johnny Cash that the world didn’t know it needed until now.Between selling out headline tours coast-to-coast, the group performed in arenas everywhere alongside Disturbed and appeared at countless festivals from Rockville to Sonic Temple

Two decades on from the band’s inception, Black Label Society soared to Number 4 on the Billboard Current Albums chart with their tenth studio album, Grimmest Hits (2018). It was the third consecutive Top 5 debut for BLS, right behind Catacombs of the Black Vatican (2014) and Order of the Black (2010). Grimmest Hits opened at Number 1 on both the Hard Music Albums and Independent Albums charts, as well. Equal parts adrenalized fury and earnest emotion the BLS songbook plays a unique role in the lives of the band’s fans. The group cranks out anthems to turn up in revelry and tragedy, songs with which to celebrate and songs with which to mourn. Mighty missives like “Stillborn,” “Bleed for Me,” “Funeral Bell,” “In This River,” “Concrete Jungle,” “Parade of the Dead,” “My Dying Time,” and “Room of Nightmares” have amassed millions of downloads, streams, and video views. They are the soundtracks to jubilant evenings that descend into bewildering mornings. While members of esteemed rock and metal institutions like Alice In Chains, Metallica, Type O Negative, Clutch, Danzig, and Megadeth have passed through the band’s ranks, Black Label Society has consistently been defined by Wylde’s unmistakable voice and signature guitar sound and the steady rumble of bassist John DeServio. Bluesy guitarist Dario Lorina and powerhouse drummer Jeff Fabb joined Wylde and DeServio in the BLS crusade back in 2013 and 2012, respectively. An energized beast and consummate showman, Black Label Society’s frontman bears his heart and soul with unchained passion, in both crushingly heavy blues-rock barnstormers and acoustic and/or piano-driven laments alike. The band are vigilant keepers of the flame. Zakk’s signature Les Paul Bullseye guitar hangs in the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame, his infamous leather bellbottoms in L.A.’s Grammy Museum, his handprints on Hollywood’s Rock Walk of Fame. He wrote the 2013 Major League Baseball theme for ESPN. He’s graced the cover of every guitar mag. A lifelong disciple of Black Sabbath and the longest serving guitar-shredder for the Ozzman himself, Wylde co-wrote modern Ozzy Osbourne classics like “No More Tears,” “Mama I’m Coming Home,” “Road to Nowhere,” and “Miracle Man.” Together with Ozzy bassist Blasko and ex-Queens Of The Stone Age drummer Joey Castillo, Wylde pays faithful tribute to the forefathers of metal as frontman for Zakk Sabbath. Wylde, who was still in his teens when he got his demo tape into Ozzy’s hands, was part of No More Tears (the biggest selling album of the legendary singer’s solo career), the double-platinum Ozzmosis, and a Best Metal Performance Grammy win.

Visionary media collective STARSET have carved out a unique path as part cinematic rock band, part conceptual storytellers, weaving an intricate narrative through multimedia and redefining the concept of a truly immersive entertainment experience. Led by enigmatic frontman and PhD candidate Dustin Bates, the band have made it their mission to take fans on a journey through music, video, AR-integrated performances, a Marvel graphic novel and online experiences, blurring the lines of science, fact, and fiction. The band’s third album DIVISIONS provides the soundtrack to the next chapter of their overarching narrative - one of a dystopian future world divided by the technology that has taken over in a war for human consciousness - those obeying and implementing it, and those fighting against it. Clues have been left behind by The Starset Society through a series of transmissions of what will occur in the future. These have been seeded throughout the campaign for fans to find and for them to become part of the story itself in a search for knowledge and to reveal new music.

Having played to capacity audiences across the nation this fall, Christian music supergroup Newsboys United announced today it will extend its monumental "Greatness Of Our God" Tour into the spring of 2020. On the heels of the group's history-making #1 album, United, the band plans to hit the road again next spring with a slate of nearly 35 new shows. Back by popular demand, the spring leg of the "Greatness Of Our God" Tour will once again bring together former members Peter Furler and Phil Joel with Newsboys' Michael Tait, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein and Jody Davis. The iconic band will be taking the stage to perform several of the new songs from their recently released United album, as well as a set of songs spanning their three-decade career, from recent chart-toppers "God's Not Dead" and "We Believe," to classics like "Shine" and "Entertaining Angels," among many others.

Kicking off Feb. 6, in Eden Prairie, Minn., the "Greatness Of Our God" Tour will also feature acclaimed singer/songwriter Adam Agee as special guest. The tour is slated to run February through April, making stops in Minnesota, South Dakota, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and more, before wrapping up April 26, in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Tickets for the "Greatness Of Our God" Fall Tour will be on sale in most markets by Friday, Nov. 8, and special VIP add-on packages are also available which include early entrance, pre-show Q&A with Newsboys, souvenir tour laminate and poster, and exclusive VIP location for buying tour merchandise. A limited number of Platinum VIP packages will also include an exclusive photo with Newsboys backstage. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Newsboys.com.

Newsboys' latest release, the groundbreaking United, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart following its May 10 release. A 10-song collection of compelling praise & worship moments and powerful pop tracks, United was produced by Peter Furler and Geoff Duncan and showcases four songs co-penned by Furler. The album is highlighted by the hit debut single "Greatness Of Our God," a triumphant worship celebration showcasing Furler and Tait on lead vocals, and also includes "Love One Another," with guest vocals from Kevin Max; pulsing praise anthem "Only The Son (Yeshua)"; "Symphony," a call to complete surrender; and the worshipful "Set Me Ablaze," which was originally recorded by Bethel Music and written by Mia Fieldes, Bryan & Katie Torwalt and Jacob Sooter.

One of the most influential bands in Christian music history, GRAMMY®-nominated, Platinum®-selling Newsboys have sold more than 10 million units, amassed eight Gold® certifications, 33 #1 radio hits, four GRAMMY® nominations, two American Music Award nominations and multiple Dove Awards.
