    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

    Riding on a historic train is a unique experience. Where else can you ride in a living museum? Our signature ride, the Hill Country Flyer allows you time to explore our vintage train cars, historically restored for your enjoyment! On board the train, you will wind through the Texas Hill Country, crossing the trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel River and Short Creek Canyon. During your two hour layover in Burnet you can enjoy lunch on your own, shopping, and a leisurely stroll around the historic town square. Finally, relax and enjoy time with your friends and family...as the train returns to our Cedar Park Depot in the afternoon.

    All cars are pulled by a diesel locomotive. This 66-mile ride is 6.5 hours round trip with a 2 hour layover. SCHEDULE: Departs 9:00 AM, Returns 3:30 PM.     Experience a unique adventure aboard our vintage lounge cars, where The Dragon’s Lair will present a curated collection of train themed board games for our passengers to indulge in. From quick card games perfect for a brief interlude to multi-round epics that can span the entire journey, there's something for every gamer.

    But the excitement doesn't stop there! Steve Jackson Games will be making a special appearance, promising a special surprise exclusively for our riders.

    Elevate your game night experience by paying a visit to the Cedar Park Car, where a selection of snacks and booze will be available for purchase. Join us for an unforgettable fusion of locomotive nostalgia and gaming delight!


    All cars are pulled by a diesel locomotive. This 44 mile ride is 2.5 hours round trip with no layover. Passengers must be on board by 6:30pm to allow for a 7pm departure. SCHEDULE: Departs 7:00 PM, Returns 9:30 PM. Due to the unique nature of our non-profit railroad operations, there are no refunds.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

    Enjoy the Wine Train as we take the train to Wedding Oak Winery in Burnet, Texas! Passengers will enjoy a 2-hour train ride from Cedar Park spanning the South San Gabriel River while enjoying an intimate talk and wine tasting with members of the Wedding Oak family. In Burnet, food and wine are available for purchase during our 2-hour layover at the stunning tasting room at Wedding Oak Winery. Complete with two-story views, a patio, and a rooftop terrace, Wedding Oak has made its home in the historic 1888 Badger Building, in the heart of Burnet's town square. Finally, please relax and enjoy the ride as the train returns to our Cedar Park Depot in the afternoon.


    We want to make sure you get home safely! As such, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks will be available for purchase on the return trip. Alcohol will not be served and may not be consumed on our return trip.


    Ages 21 and up only. SCHEDULE: Departs 11 am, Returns 5 pm. Your ticket includes a 2-hour train ride and a tasting-sized flight of 5 wines.     About the Ride: The Bertram Flyer invites you on a relaxing journey into passenger railroad's glorious past! Our vintage train cars are from the golden era of rail travel, built in the '30s, '40s and '50s, and fully restored for your enjoyment. On board the train, your 44-mile journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops at our historic 1912 Bertram Depot. Enjoy views of Short Creek Canyon, the 300-foot-long wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel, and the Duffy-Shamrock communications mast-one of the tallest structures in the world! 

    About the Festival: The Bertram Art, Herb and Wine Festival will be held on the streets of Downtown Bertram, April 27th from 10-6pm (Saturday) and April 28th from 11-4pm (Sunday). The streets will be filled with Hand Crafted Vendors, Art, Herbs, Wine Vendors, Beer Booth, Festival T-Shirts, Live Music, Food Booths and so much more.
