Learn more about your place in the world through explorations of nature and culture. Every second Saturday of the month, museum educators lead a program that combines a book reading, activities, and a chance to look more closely at the museum's collections.
For this month's program, families will explore the discovery of mosasaurs, sharks and fish fossils in Angola, Africa. After a book reading of Tylosaurus by Gerry Bailey, participants will sift for and identify fossils to learn more about how paleontologists make discoveries about animals that lived long ago and are no longer alive today.
Cost: Please register to guarantee a spot in the program. Reservation is $2.00 per person. Children ages 2 and under are free.
Location: The Theater in the Q?rius Education Center, on the Ground Floor of the museum. Q?rius is located next to the Constitution Avenue entrance.
