- Nashville-based pop singer-songwriter Caroline Kole has been compared to Julia Michael and Halsey by Billboard Magazine. She is a vivacious vocalist with a talent for crafting playful lyrics and earworm pop melodies. She began her career at the age of 8, playing the beach bars in her hometown of Clearwater, FL. In her teenage years, Caroline moved to Nashville and began touring internationally with Reba McEntire and others. Now 22, years of writing and performing have led to an evolution of personality and sound, and the young artist is now releasing colorful yet vulnerable pop music that draws influence from Twenty One Pilots, Katy Perry, Meghan Trainor and The Killers. Billboard Magazine that her sound "captivates," EARMILK described Caroline's sound as "a rainbow castle of candor," and tastemaker The New Nine said she is "pop magic... knows who she is and who she isn't." Caroline's music has been shared by The Chainsmokers, R3HAB and Kelly Clarkson, and has been featured on SiriusXM, major market FM radio, and in national TV synch placements.

Kacy & Clayton are set to return with Carrying On via New West Records on October 4th, 2019.  The 10-song set was produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and recorded by Tom Schick at The Loft, Wilco's recording studio & rehearsal space in Chicago, IL. Carrying On follows the international acclaim for their previous records Strange Country (which Q Magazine called "A beautiful album that nudges a classic past into a brave future") and 2017's The Siren's Song (described by Uncut as "Ageless and beguiling. A classic record for this or any other time.").
The music Kacy & Clayton make is inextricable from where they grew up.  The second cousins sing about the kind of people you'd find in Wood Mountain, Saskatchewan (population very few).  The hills, barns, and remoteness of the area are in these songs, with a bittersweet acknowledgement that this music has taken them far from home.  Their sound is equal parts homespun, coming from a family and community where playing music is an ever present part of social gatherings, and the rare country, blues, and English folk rock they obsess over and collect.  It's an arresting amalgamation of psychedelic folk, English folk revival and the ancestral music of Southern Appalachia. For Carrying On, Clayton cites as influences: Bobbie Gentry's Delta Sweete, Hoyt Axton's My Griffin Is Gone, Cajun fiddle music, and the steel guitar of Ralph Mooney, who played on many of the records that defined the Bakersfield country music scene of the 1950s.  Sixties psych has also woven its way into these new songs; Kacy enjoys telling people that they live 250km from the mental hospital that coined the term "psychedelic."
Of Carrying On, Jeff Tweedy said "When I first heard Kacy and Clayton, I was struck by how much detail and nuance they had absorbed from what sounded like a large swath of my record collection. When I told them that they were as good as the artists they were drawing from, I'm not sure they believed me. On this record I don't hear those influences as much as I hear them taking the things they love so intimately and telling their own story. I think they're a truly great band."
Today, Flood Magazine has premiered the album's title track, "Carrying On," stating "The album is a beautiful reflection of Tweedy's sentiments, with the Wilco frontman's vast production skills emphasizing the timeless quality of the band's music."
Having toured almost nonstop for the last two years, Carrying On was conceived and honed on the road and recorded immediately after a jaunt across Western Canada, mostly as live takes with the minimum of overdubs.  The songs having been tried and tested before audiences each night with Kacy & Clayton offering, "This album has, by far, the most intense and confident performances we've ever done on record and I hope that intensity will be felt by the listener."
Kacy & Clayton have also announced a Fall tour supporting Ray LaMontagne beginning October 11th in Providence, RI.  Prior to the release of Carrying On, they will support Colter Wall throughout the month of May, and will also appear at the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in September alongside Foo Fighters, The Killers, and more.

Jeremy Kittel Live at ODEON -

Doors at 8pm -

- Inhabiting the space between classical and acoustic roots, Celtic and bluegrass aesthetics, folk and jazz sensibilities.

Bio:
Previously of the Grammy-winning Turtle Island Quartet, also nominated for a Grammy for, "Best Instrumental Composition" in 2018, Jeremy Kittel has been a composer-arranger-collaborator for such diverse artists as My Morning Jacket, Yo-Yo Ma & the Silk Road Ensemble, and Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn. He blazes through a Bach violin partita as easily as a Scottish reel, bringing the same intense focus and precision to both. For the last few years the Michigan native, now based in Brooklyn, has been diligently building his own repertoire of music for a wholly original new group.

This Kittel and Co. show features mandolin phenom Josh Pinkham (named "the future of the mandolin" by Mandolin Magazine) and guitarist Quinn Bachand (who's toured with fiddling icons Ashley MacIsaac and Natalie MacMaster).

Quotes:

"Kittel's group, with the mandolinist Joshua Pinkham and guitarist Quinn Bachand, takes the string band tradition to marvellously rarefied levels of collective virtuosity. Playing a repertoire from bluegrass to Bach to a strathspey and reel set... [they] sounded thrillingly spontaneous. ...Taking traditional music forward."
-Times UK

"Jeremy Kittel's beautiful sound is perfectly supported by his tight and powerful band of cutting edge string players. It's a rare group that can go from zero to sixty in a split second while also weaving such subtle textures into his compositions. They draw you in and then blow you away." - Tim O'Brien

"A conspicuously original blend of genres... As fleet fingers fly, aromas of far-flung musical traditions appear and vanish like musical will-o'-the-wisps... virtuosic improvisation at its very highest level..." -Berkshire Edge

"The music Kittel is making now has all the precision and virtuosity of the best classical players, but the wonderfully devilish, explosive drive of the best string bands." - Devon Leger, HearthMusic

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Cracker's tenth and most recent studio effort, the double-album, Berkeley To Bakersfield, finds this uniquely American band traversing two different sides of the California landscape -- the northern Bay area and further down-state in Bakersfield.

Despite being less than a five-hour drive from city to city, musically, these two regions couldn't be further apart from one another. In the late '70s and '80s a harder-edged style of rock music emerged from the Bay area, while Bakersfield is renowned for its own iconic twangy country music popularized, most famously, by Buck Owens and Merle Haggard in the '60s and '70s. Yet despite these differences, they are both elements that Cracker's two cofounders, David Lowery and Johnny Hickman, have embraced to some degree on nearly every one of their studio albums over the last two decades. On Berkeley To Bakersfield, however, instead of integrating these two genres together within one disc, they've neatly compartmentalized them onto their own respective regionally-titled LPs.

As Lowery explains, "On the Berkeley disc the band is the original Cracker lineup -- Davey Faragher, Michael Urbano, Johnny and myself. This is the first time this lineup has recorded together in almost 20 years. We began recording this album at East Bay Recorders in Berkeley, CA. For this reason we chose to stylistically focus this disc on the music we most associate with the East Bay: Punk and Garage with some funky undertones. To further match our sense of place we often took an overtly political tone in the lyrics."

"This Bakersfield disc represents the 'California country' side of the band. Throughout the band's 24-year history we've dabbled in Country and Americana but this time we wanted to pay homage to the particular strain of Country and Country-Rock music that emerges from the inland valleys of California."

Cracker has been described as a lot of things over the years: alt-rock, Americana, insurgent-country, and have even had the terms punk and classic-rock thrown at them. But more than anything Cracker are survivors. Cofounders Lowery and Hickman have been at it for a quarter of a century -- amassing ten studio albums, multiple gold records, thousands of live performances, hit songs that are still in current radio rotation around the globe ("Low," "Euro-Trash Girl," "Get Off This" and "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out With Me" to name just a few), and a worldwide fan base -- that despite the major sea-changes within the music industry -- continues to grow each year.
