The Capitol Steps have elevated political satire to an art form. Before The Daily Show, Full Frontal, and The Colbert Report, this Washington, DC-based comedy troupe gave audience laugh cramps with their bipartisan lampooning. The Capitol Steps began in 1981 as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize their employers, and haven’t let up since. If you’ve been keeping with the news, you know there’s no shortage of material. The troupe is coming back to Lexington with a new show of musical and political comedy. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Republican or Democrat, a snowflake or a deplorable: neither side is safe from the group that puts the “MOCK” in Democracy!

Every major artist has that one defining album or performance, but for ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro, his entire career has been filled with such magical achievements. Since he first came to the world’s attention with his deeply beautiful and original take on George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” in a viral video that dominated YouTube in 2005, the Hawaiian-born Shimabukuro has virtually reinvented the four-string instrument, causing many to call him “the Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele.”

The Lovin’ Feelin’ is Back – The Righteous Brothers Live!
Blue-eyed soul pioneers The Righteous Brothers are back! With a string of #1 classics, including the most played song in radio history, You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’, the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield topped the charts in
four decades. After Bobby’s death in 2003, Bill Medley continued to perform to sold-out
crowds around the world, but fans and friends pleaded with him to keep The Righteous
Brothers alive. Says Medley … No one could ever take Bobby’s place, but when I caught
Bucky Heard’s show it all came together – I found the right guy to help me recreate the
magic. The concert experience features their biggest hits – Lovin’ Feelin’, Soul &
Inspiration, Unchained Melody, Rock and Roll Heaven, Medley’s Grammy-winning
Dirty Dancing theme The Time of My Life, and much, much more!
The Bill Medley/Bucky Heard pairing came as something of a happy accident.
Medley says it just seemed right … I’d been friends with Bucky for years, but when I
caught his show he just killed me! The next day it hit me – that’s the guy, someone I
could sing hard with, laugh hard with, love and respect – on and off stage. He fits The
Righteous Brothers live performance show perfectly. And, we’ve even recorded some
new material together, I’m really excited!

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
With her upcoming new album, ‘The Debut’, multi-platinum recording artist Jackie Evancho will
match her extraordinary voice with one of most exciting re-emerging genres in popular music today;
Broadway’s New American Songbook.

Inspired by the great tradition of Broadway musicals, there’s a new generation of groundbreaking
songwriters who are revitalizing the musical theatre paradigm on both the stage and screen. This
‘New Broadway’ genre is adding a remarkable new chapter to the Great American Songbook - and
Jackie will be the first recording artist to embrace this rich body of work and re-invent it as her own.
With breakthrough musicals like Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress, Once, Spring Awakening
and hit films like The Greatest Showman, the New American Songbook has permeated mainstream
culture – building its already-impassioned musical theatre audiences while cultivating a brand new
generation of ultra-engaged young fans.

The incredible composers of this New American Songbook – Lin-Manuel Miranda, Benj Pasek & Justin Paul,
Stephen Schwartz, Steven Sater & Duncan Sheik, Sara Bareilles – write songs in a modern, authentic voice.
They tell stories from a fresh, young perspective that are of-the-moment, breathtakingly emotional and
unafraid to reach for the beautiful, bold moments the Broadway art-form is known for.All sales are final. No request for cancellations,
