FAMILY WORKSHOPS
SEEC's workshops offer a variety of hands-on experiences that introduce young children to concepts in engaging ways. Each class begins with playful classroom activities that are intentionally chosen to support your child's development. The learning continues when the class moves into a museum where children and parents are encouraged to learn and explore together as a family.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
We all have bones, but what are they for? Through hands-on activities in the classroom and the museum, children will discover why our bones are so important, and observe similarities and differences between our skeletons and those of other creatures.



Age Range: 2 - 3 years

Program begins at the National Museum of Natural History, Constitution Avenue Lobby.

Waterfalls are a sight to behold, but what causes them? We'll explore some scientific characteristics of waterfalls and play in the process. Class will conclude at the Hirshhorn where we'll see a collection of artist Pat Steir's Waterfall paintings.
