UADA
From the darkness, UADA (meaning haunted in latin) emerges breathing the spirit of the original 90’s Black Metal wave. Since 2014, this Portland, Oregon four-piece has used a unique approach to combine raw black metal and spectral melodies.

January 24th, 2015 saw the live debut appearance for a packed house at ‘Famine Fest II in Portland, alongside bands like Terrorizer, Engorged, Nekrofilth, Drawn & Quartered, Cemetery Lust & many more. Uada was well received & quickly dubbed one of the main highlights of the Festival. Following their first and only photo shoot with Peter Beste, Uada returned fire in Portland at the 6th Northwestern Black Circle Festival with Inquisition, Demoncy, Weregoat, Slutvomit & many more. This first year included 10 additional showings in the Pacific Northwest with Antaeus, Negura Bunget, Bell Witch, Christian Mistress, Sabbath Assembly, and more.

In spring 2016, their debut album “Devoid of Light” will be released via Eisenwald, self-recorded by the band & then mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust). It features the artwork of Kris Verwimp and band photography by Peter Beste. In support of this new album, Uada is confirmed to play the Northwestern Black Circle Festival again, this time with Absu and will mark the kick off date for a west coast tour.

“Uada is one of the most interesting & exciting bands coming out of Portland these days” – John Haughm (Agalloch)

Panzerfaust
Panzerfaust is a Canadian black metal band formed in 2005 as an entity forged from the combined desire to create music and writing equally voided of their conventions. Categorically a black metal band, Panzerfaust however claims no devotional framework, and firmly holds an anti-theistic postion. Panzerfaust has NO ideology, but rather pursues ideas for the ideas themselves. In our view - nothing is sacred.

Let no man be saved from our judgment; only the dead have seen the end of the war.

Imperial Triumphant
Born in the metropolis: Imperial Triumphant embodies the sounds of New York. The chaos, the menagerie, the perils and majesty of the greatest city on earth. We portray this great juxtaposition between high society luxury coexisting with absolute filth and urban decay. Our city is like the corpse of a giant. What was once so bright, grand and spectacular, is now filled with greedy maggots writhing towards their share of 'success'. We don't support it nor are we against. We only play the sounds of the New York City as we hear them.

SPOTLIGHTS
Spotlights is the Brooklyn-based married couple of Mario and Sarah Quintero.
In Spotlights, the Quinteros summon a supreme sound, equally heavy and dreamy. A tar-pit sludge-rock foundation is blanketed by layers of shimmering shoegaze. Their debut full length TIDALS was released on Crowquill Records in the spring of 2016 as a follow up to the synth laden, doom-pop EP, Demonstration. Tidals' songs rock hard and memorably, bringing to mind hints of bands, from Failure to My Bloody Valentine to Godflesh to Smashing Pumpkins and beyond.
Spotlights was handpicked by Deftones to support the band on three weeks of its summer U.S. tour in August of 2016. Select dates included support from 90’s post-hardcore, greats, Refused. They quickly followed up with a second national run in September with If These Trees Could Talk.
In December 2016 they self released the 3 song “odds and ends” EP, SPIDERS, featuring a cover of the song She Spider by MEW, and a remix of Joseph, the closing track on TIDALS, done by Aaron Harris (Isis/Palms). The Spiders EP served as the perfect way to hold fans over while the band continued work on their new record.

When it came time to record the the follow up full length to TIDALS, the Quinteros didn’t have to look far to find the perfect producer. “Choosing to work with Aaron [Harris] on our new record was a no brainer for us. We get along great and he completely understands where we are coming from musically and knows just how to capture that.” says Mario. Sarah adds “Plus, he’s an incredible drummer and we tricked him into playing on four of the songs!”. The three of them spent a week in Los Angeles at Palmquist Studios, putting together one of the most dynamic, and emotive collection of songs to date.

The new album, SEISMIC was released on Ipecac Recordings on October 6th 2017

THE LIFE AND TIMES
Since August of 2005, The Life and Times has played over 200 shows in support of their debut full-length release Suburban Hymns (DeSoto) on US tours with bands like the Appleseed Cast, Murder By Death, Pelican, Mono, Sparta, Pinback, Engine Down, and William Elliot Whitmore. In June of 2006, they headlined a two week tour of Spain in support of an eponymous split CD/10", both of which with urgent post-rockers from Barcelona, Nueva Vulcano (ex-Aina).

The Magician EP (Stiff Slack), their fourth overall release, is a fad-free snapshot of a band that’s constantly morphing from a dragon, to a butterfly, to blinding white light, to a bird, to Godzilla, and back again, often within the space of just one song. RIYLs don't do the band justice from a recorded or live standpoint, but suffice it to say that the sound on the Magician EP puts them in company with artists like Pink Floyd, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Swervedriver, Built to Spill and just a pinch of early U2. In October of 2006 they headlined a successful Japanese tour in support of The Magician for Stiff Slack Records (Mercury Program, 31 Knots, Shiner, Mates of State), and then a US/Canadian excursion in November and December of 2006. DIRT MONKEY—aka Patrick Megeath, is smashing 2018. With roughly a dozen recent high profile releases, and a stacked tour schedule already under wraps, a packed festival season is about to begin, and more new tunes are on the way. Over the past several years, Dirt Monkey has carved his uplifting, bouncy, and unique sounds into the Denver dubstep community, and onto the national touring scene. He finished last year with a strong release schedule: “Wubula” (SubCarbon), “Beef” w/ Boogie T (SubCarbon), and “Wobble Like This EP” (Disciple Round Table), He took this brisk pace into to a fall tour with Bear Grillz and direct support on a Ganja White Night tour at the beginning of this year that sold out nearly every date. As a pioneer in the dubstep and bass music genres, Dirt Monkey has garnered support from many of his peers: Griz, Rusko, Excision, Snails, Liquid Stranger, A-Trak, Virtual Riot, Anna Lunoe, Annie Nightingale (BBC Radio 1), Downlink, Ganja White Night, and Protohype. Dirt Monkey’s recent remix of Rusko’s “Woo Boost” (SubCarbon) was supported by Rusko himself, and his recent “Wubula” album gained wide support across the festival circuit from broad swaths of well-known DJs. He has worked and collaborated with a wide-variety of artists such as: Ganja White Night, DMVU, Illenium, Boogie T, Conrank, Subtronics, Run DMT w Barrington Levy, and Jantsen. Dirt Monkey has performed at a countless number of breathtaking venues, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, clubs in France, and Beta Nightclub in Denver, CO (where he has held a residency for the last 5 years). Also, for the past four years, he established and ran the record label, Kairos Audio, before handing it off to label partner and co-founder, Jantsen Robertson. Dirt Monkey is fresh off a sold out after party at Buku Music + Arts Project and a great festival performance at Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival. Now he’s gearing up for a co-headline tour with Subtronics, “Warp Drive 18”, which will carry him into confirmed appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Toxic Summer, and Global Dance Festival, preparing audiences for an Full Length album, an EP, and no less than 5 singles on deck through the rest of the year. Dirt Monkey has always striven to fuse the wonky, high-energy sounds of old school dubstep, and the crisp sounds of EDM. Now, he’s succeeding in bringing that sound to a global audience.

Morning Teleportation formed in 2005 when Tiger Merrit (vocals/guitar) moved from Chicago to Bowling Green Kentucky for college and met up with childhood friend Travis Goodwin (keyboards/saxophone/vocals). From the beginning the band has been a roller coaster ride of Rock and Roll sound traveling in and out of psychedelia, indie rock and jazz. Most of the last few years has been spent either in the studio or on the road playing for crowds at Bonnaroo and Sasquatch and supporting the likes of The Flaming Lips, Cage The Elephant and Modest Mouse.

To see the band perform live is to witness a cacophony of improvisational mayhem and melodic twist and turns. Merrit’s vocals dart sharply in and out of the hectic back beat that the rhythm section holds down. The sound may be more modern but make no mistake, these are boys who want nothing more than to have a good time in the classic rock idiom. If they can make the crowd smile they can leave happy.

Morning Teleportation is a house party, a futuristic hootenanny and a backroom jam session all rolled into one.

NYC trio Consider the Source defy easy description. If intergalactic beings of pure energy, after initiation into an order of whirling dervishes, built some kind of pan-dimensional booty-shaking engine, powered by psychedelics and abstract math, it’d probably just sound like a CTS tribute band. Drawing from progressive rock, fusion and jazz, with alien sounds soaked in Indian and Middle Eastern styles, CTS blends disparate parts into a striking, utterly original whole. Dubbed “Sci-Fi Middle Eastern Fusion”, the band’s music strikes a rare balance between cerebral and emotional, intellectual and primal. A relentless touring schedule has won the band a fervent following from California to Israel, with fans ranging from jam-band hippies and jazz cats to corpse-painted headbangers and prog geeks.

Formed in 2004, Consider the Source features Gabriel Marin on fretless double-neck guitar, bassist John Ferrara, and drummer/percussionist Jeff Mann. Called “the guiding light for his generation of six-stringers”, Marin channels the mystical fury of McLaughlin and Coltrane into wailing melodies, kaleidoscopic soundscapes and boneshaking riffs. With a background in classical musics both Eurpoean and Indian, and an instinct for avant-jazz and destructive metal, Marin’s hypnotic fusion of styles is ever unpredictable. Ferrara’s propulsive, percussive attack, equally suited to simple grooves and impossible chords, can ground the music or launch it into space. His madcap gumbo of slap bass, Indian rhythms, earthy minimalism and complex tapping constantly pushes into strange new worlds, whilst still dropping thick booty-clap beats. Underneath them lies Mann’s rolling thunder; dense rhythmic architecture built from pure swagger and bounce. Half double-bass prog-metal, half crackle-pop Buddy Rich swing, with African and Balkan swirls, Mann’s muscular, freewheeling polyrhythms are the engine fuel for Consider’s multiversal mischief. Even when not improvising, Consider’s music is always a conversation, a roiling stew of dynamic interplay. Each member of Consider the Source alternately leads and follows, spars and assists; in any single song, alliances are made and broken, bargains struck and divorces finalized.

Touring from coast to coast, as well as Europe and the Middle East, has not only earned the band thousands of fans, but has allowed them to perform with a wide variety of well-known artists, including Victor Wooten, Wayne Krantz, King Crimson Projekt, Kris Myers (Umphrey’s McGee), Wyclef Jean, Andy Statman, Matt Darriau (Paradox Trio), Oteil Burbridge, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Dumpstaphunk, Keller Williams, George Porter, Jr., Jeff Sipe, Panzerballet (Germany), Eatliz (Israel), Freak Kitchen (Sweden), Morglbl (France), and many others. They have performed at numerous festivals and events, including Burning Man, Gathering of the Vibes, the NYC Fretless Guitar Festival, Catskill Chill, Sun Seekers Ball (Canada), Aura Music & Arts Festival (Florida), Jazz Fest (New Orleans), Head For The Hills Festival & SXSW (Texas), Rootwire (Ohio), and the NYC Gypsy Festival. The band’s latest release, “World War Trio (Parts 2 & 3)” (2016) is available at considerthesourcemusic.bandcamp.com.

Ghost Light is a true musical collaboration; five personalities, five perspectives, and five unique approaches towards one common sound.

Foregoing current traditions, rather than initially focusing on live shows, the band played together for the first time in a recording studio in Philadelphia. This decision gave the band’s members - Holly Bowling, Tom Hamilton, Steve Lyons, Raina Mullen and Scotty Zwang - the ability to come to the project with fresh ears and no pre-conceived notions. They developed the songs as they developed their musical communication which led to trust, creativity and an adventurous take on the process. Scotty Zwang explained it thusly, “It’s a unique and interesting approach we get to take...” “we are being patient with each other and figuring out what the song needs”

While the recording project has been the beginning point for Ghost Light, the live experience is what will define this band. “In the parts of the sessions where we have had a little more room to just let things go, there have been these little glimmers of what the improvisation will feel like live. That’s a whole other thing and it’s very exciting,” notes Holly Bowling. Tom Hamilton adds, “with this new band, we felt super comfortable going in any direction, knowing that with our new bandmates, the songs will get to where they needs to go. And in the live setting, that confidence is just as strong.”

The first half of 2018 will see the band playing major venues in major markets coast to coast, followed by heavy rotation on the festival circuit. The debut record will be released in the second half of the year and will be supported by an extensive tour. In 2018 you will get to know Ghost Light, and the future could not be brighter.
