Ramble On! front man Rich Ray, Andrew Paul Woodworth, and a giant rock band of musicians from Brandi Carlile, Blind Pilot and more lead the audience through the songs. Expect epic rock battles, esoteric trivia, hair tossing, swearing, and general rabblerousing.

About the Low Bar Chorale

The Low Bar Chorale is Portland, OR's rock/alt-indie bar-based singalong answer to vocal angst. Think music version of Bar Trivia Night: no commitments, auditions or membership, just singing.

LBC offers people a chance to sing with musicians from bands like Blind Pilot, Brandi Carlile, the Eels, Pink Martini and Todd Rundgren's Utopia. It's kind of like Fantasy Sports Camp, but with musicians. Covered artists include a range of pop, rock and alt/indie such as Radiohead, Daft Punk, The Cure, the Fleet Foxes, Lady Gaga, and Lil Naz X/Billy Ray Cyrus.

Hailing from the tightly knit musical community of Austin, Texas, award-winning singer-songwriter Ruthie Foster has found herself duetting with Bonnie Raitt, standing on stage with the Allman Brothers at New York's Beacon Theater, and trading verses with Susan Tedeschi. Her latest album, Joy Comes Back, described as "some folk, some blues, some soul, some rock, some gospel," illustrates Ruthie's genre-spanning talent. Ruthie has been nominated for three Grammys, and has won multiple Blues Music and Austin Music Awards, plus the Grand Prix du Disque from Académie Charles-Cros in France.

Maria Muldaur is best known for "Midnight At The Oasis," though she has toured extensively worldwide for over four decades, and has released 41 albums covering all stripes of American Roots Music, including Gospel, R&B, Jazz and Big Band, as well as several award-winning children's albums. Often joining forces with other fine artists, she has recorded and produced on-average, an album per year, several of which have been nominated for Grammy and Blues Foundation awards. These last few years have seen the 50th Anniversary Kweskin Jug Band Reunion concerts, gospel collaborations with the Campbell Brothers, performances with Bill Wyman and The Rhythm Kings, and notable reissues of her early recordings with Jim Kweskin. She remains a revered and preeminent interpreter of American Roots music.

Eliza Gilkyson is a twice Grammy-nominated (2006/2015) folk singer/songwriter and activist who is one of the most respected musicians in Folk, Roots and Americana circles. Her critically acclaimed new release, Secularia, is a collection of spiritually charged songs of "grief, gratitude and wonder" that do not fit within the parameters of traditional patriarchal religious beliefs but challenge us to respect all life and be accountable for our actions in such divisive times.

The NowHere Band (pronounced "nowhere") is collection of musicians and friends who gather a couple times a year to recreate the experience of hearing the Beatles' music performed in a live setting. Unlike other ongoing Beatles "tribute bands" the NowHere Band, there is no attempt for anyone to be a particular Beatle (no one is designated as "Paul, John, George, or Ringo"). Instead, the vocal duties and instrumental duties are separated, thus creating an 8-piece ensemble. In addition to the vocals, guitars, keys, bass, and drums there are 3 strings (cello, viola, and violin) and 5 horns (trumpet, sax, clarinet, and trombone), and (when necessary) harp, tabla, and sitar. Nearly all of the music that the Beatles recorded after 1966 was never performed by them live. The NowHere Band attempts to recreate the "what if" the Beatles ever got to reunite or perform their music live with all the bells and whistles.

The NowHere band first debuted in November of 2002 at a Kaosmosis warehouse party, and has played sporadically throughout the years since then. Most notably, for the last 11 years the band has performed the White Album each year in early December (The White Album Xmas). In 2017 and 2018 they performed Sgt Pepper / Endless Summer of Love shows (which included an entire set of misc late-1960's bands). The band also performed The Who's Tommy in 2015. This year the band is excited to perform Abbey Road (an album that will be preceded by a set of misc Beatles favorites curated by the band).

The nucleus of the project has also performed many kinds of music under different names, mostly one-offs. The concept of the "band for one night" (hence "Now Here" and such) is the brainchild of band leader and vocalist John Averill, who together with keyboardist Carl Tietze (aka Solovox) have been pulling off musical shenanigans for 20 years, from the dirt of Burning Man to accompanying ballets in performing arts centers, and numerous barns, clubs and warehouses in-between. The other core members of the NowHere Band have each been in the project anywhere from 15-17 years, including Sarah King (vocals) Jason Wells (vocals and guitar), Ryan Moore (drums), Arthur Parker (bass), Chet Lyster (guitar), and David Langenes (guitar).

The band is a true family of friends who love to play together, and when it comes to performing the Beatles' music (which they consider an honor), the modus operandi is "accuracy with feeling."

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Want a message from a medium like John Edward, Theresa Caputo or Lisa Williams? Come join us for an evening with Portland's very own psychic medium Renee Terrill (formerly Renee Madsen). As a gifted medium, Renee has been helping clients connect with their loved ones in the spirit world for over 23 years. She's been featured on many news segments, is a regular guest on AM Northwest, and has been heard on the popular radio stations Z100, KUPL & KEX. She is known for her loving and down-to-earth style of working with people, as well as her honesty.

In this gallery style event, Renee will be channeling and sharing Messages from Heaven for the audience members. The session will begin with a brief intro of Renee and how sessions work, participants will then be guided through a prayer & meditation to balance the room and help participants connect with their loved ones, and then Renee will be channeling messages for the audience members from their loved ones in the spirit world. Since the room typically tends to fill up quickly with those on the other side wanting to get messages through, so don't be surprised if the session runs a bit late!
Note: Renee will give message to as many people as time allows. Not everyone in attendance is guaranteed a reading, however, messages are often linked, so you may get a message in tandem with another person's.

Join Renee, psychic medium, teacher and healer, for this very special event, and reconnect with your lost loved ones as we open the lines of communication to the spirit world.
