PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
An unforgettable portrait of one of the most inspiring historical figures of the twentieth century, published on the centenary of his birth, The Prison Letters of Nelson Mandela reveals him to be a loving father, a husband who offered unwavering support to his also-imprisoned wife, and a tireless advocate of a human rights philosophy that resonates today. This landmark volume reveals the heroism of a man who refused to compromise his moral values in the face of extraordinary punishment. This event will feature Zamaswazi Dlamini-Mandela, Nelson Mandela's granddaughter and entrepreneur, and Sahm Venter, Journalist and Senior Researcher at the Nelson Mandela Foundation. Co-presented by the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth and Trinity (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
