Reno Championship Air Races - Stead Air Field

Held every September just north of Reno, the STIHL National Championship Air Races have become an institution for northern Nevada and aviation enthusiasts from around the world. For one week, the high desert north of Reno becomes home to hundreds of aircraft, their pilots and crews. The event features six closed-course pylon racing classes and the STOL Drag class, all racing wing-tip to wing-tip 50 to 250 feet above the ground, and a large display of static aircraft with military and civil flight demonstrations.
