PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
FAMILY WORKSHOPS
SEEC's workshops offer a variety of hands-on experiences that introduce young children to concepts in engaging ways. Each class begins with playful classroom activities that are intentionally chosen to support your child's development. The learning continues when the class moves into a museum where children and parents are encouraged to learn and explore together as a family.




CLASS DESCRIPTION
We hear sounds all the time, whether it be cars honking, people talking, birds chirping, or music playing, but how is sound made? We'll explore how vibration creates the many sounds that we hear every day, and conclude class looking at and creating jazz instruments.



Age Range: 3 - 5 years

Program begins at the National Museum of Natural History, Constitution Avenue Lobby.

Elephants are particularly lovable creatures who figure prominently in Indian culture. Children will learn about these gentle giants and visit the Sackler Gallery to hear a story about Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu god.
