When you hear Marielle Kraft’s music or experience her candid live shows, you feel as though you already know her. The indie pop singer/songwriter, now based in Nashville, displays craftsmanship beyond her years, following suit to artists like Colbie Caillat, Maisie Peters, and Taylor Swift.

Self-taught, the Rhode Island native began playing guitar at 16 and soon writing songs that strike chords with listeners everywhere. Her gift for storytelling is evident through her use of salient detail, raw emotion, and poignant word choice to describe moments “exactly as they feel.” Over the past few years, Marielle Kraft has self-released two original EPs, including eight singles, and four official music videos.

Kraft’s 2017 debut single, "How Far You Feel," has collected over 1 million streams across platforms. The indie pop breakout track seeks to understand the dichotomy of physical vs. emotional distance in relationships, brilliantly expressing “what many feel but cannot find the right words to say.” Marielle Kraft’s debut studio EP, “The Deep End” officially released on July 12th, 2019, featuring fan-favorite tracks like “Toothbrush” and “Better Without You”. Kraft’s first effort is notably strong both lyrically and sonically, described by The Music Mermaid as “song after song of mini pop addictions.” In February 2020, Marielle Kraft co-released an “anthemic” and “heart-filled” single with Joshua Howard entitled “In It Together”, which has quickly gained support across platforms.

Marielle Kraft regularly plays at venues across the United States, sharing stages with names as big as Mt. Joy, Ava Max, and Betty Who. She presents her live shows as a seamless narrative: evocative yet encouraging, deeply reflective yet refreshing. The raw authenticity with which Marielle invites listeners into her story cultivates a relationship with them beyond the song, as she is known to “bring together a room full of strangers.” Her “winning personality,” “genuine connection",” and “gift for story telling” on stage have fueled the ever-growing crowds at each of her shows, with no signs of slowing down.

Harrison Goodell, born and raised in Dover, New Hampshire, is a rising singer-songwriter known for his captivating storytelling and passionate delivery. Gaining inspiration from artists including Paul Simon, Noah Kahan, and The Lumineers, his music features emotive lyrics and soulful vocals that carry meaning. Harrison’s love of music began in musical theater but during the pandemic he turned to playing the guitar and writing songs to keep himself sane. This hobby quickly evolved into a newfound love for making music, which led him to Hollywood for the 21st season of ABC’s American Idol. Harrison’s debut EP, Like Home, hit streaming platforms early 2023 followed by his single, Frost, which disguises heartbreak in a catchy upbeat sound. With his passion for creating music that resonates with his audience, Goodell is establishing himself as an artist to watch in the industry.

After a three-year hiatus, Slow Hollows returns reinvented, sharing new single & video “Old Yeller.” The genre-defying Los Angeles band founded by songwriter Austin Feinstein is now his solo project. Though the group amicably disbanded in early 2020, the now 25-year-old artist never stopped writing songs. The more he fleshed out new material, the more Feinstein realized it made sense to continue on as Slow Hollows. “Ultimately making a cohesive record was the most important thing to me,” says Feinstein. “Having some time away from the band made me realize what ‘Slow Hollows’ stood for. It's hard to realize what you're getting at when you're doing it, so the time to myself helped me understand what made it work.” In sharp contrast to 2019’s Actors, which interpolated R&B and dance music and was influenced by collaborations with Frank Ocean (Feinstein sings the chorus on Blonde’s “Self Control”) and
Tyler, the Creator (who crafted the beat for Actors’ “Heart”), “Old Yeller” focuses purely on Feinstein’s songwriting, stripping things back to only an acoustic guitar, his voice, and gentle atmospherics. “Old Yeller was recorded in two or three takes one afternoon in September ‘22” shares Feinstein, “The lyrics take inspiration from the job of an old vacuum cleaner; feeling dusty and worn down, working over the same familiar spaces over and over again, until reaching the point of frustration and resignation. Taking production inspiration from John Cale, we decided to add a drone underneath the track.”

New York City-based Addie Warncke began Computerwife in 2018 at the beginning of her college career, using SoundCloud as a diary to chronicle her emotions. When the pandemic hit, Warncke released the five songs she was proudest of as her self-titled debut EP, and the strength of those tracks led to a signing with Danger Collective Records. Now, she’s poised to release her debut self-titled full-length: a raw and intimate portrait of her experiences processing the small but poignant moments that shape a life. Computerwife’s sound is captivating and nuanced, pushing the boundaries between analog and digital. “The main theme that ties this album together is an interest in the deep web and an attempt to combine existing media to make something new,” she explains. With her seamless blend of shoegaze, emo, and lo-fi noise pop, Computerwife speaks directly to the disquiet experienced by every 21st century digital girl with a tenuous grip on life and identity.

Without any prior production knowledge or a band to work with, expanding her songs beyond the writing stage was a challenge Warncke sought to overcome. A Song Exploder episode about Grimes inspired her to download a free trial of Ableton so she could flesh out tracks and learn more about electronic production. On her dorm room bed, she began to record with her dad’s guitar and bass, a Fender deluxe amp, and a focusrite to Ableton. Her first EP and forthcoming debut LP are pulled from these 3 years of exploring music production on her computer, made with limited, portable equipment. Computerwife ultimately reflects Warncke’s very core; it was inspired by internet rabbit holes, books, films, albums, and bands that have shaped her: from Coney Island to My Bloody Valentine, Alex G, The Flaming Lips and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Lyrically, Computerwife grapples with the psychological state Warncke was in when she, in her own words, “went crazy, deleted all my music, and ran back home.”

In the decade since Jenny Owen Youngs last released a full length album, she’s toured the world, co written a #1 hit single, launched a wildly popular podcast, landed a book deal, placed songs in a slew of films and television series, moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles to coastal Maine, and gotten married, divorced, and married again. She’s done everything, it seems, except release another album....until now. Avalanche, Youngs’ exception debut for Yep Roc records, offers up an achingly beautiful exploration of loss, resilience, and growth from an artist who’s experienced more than her fair share of each in recent years. Produced by Josh Kaufman (Bonny Light Horseman, The Hold Steady, Cassandra Jenkins, Josh Ritter) and written with a series of friends including S. Carey, Madi Diaz, The Antlers’ Peter Silberman, and Christian Lee Hutson, the songs are deceptively serene here, layering Youngs’ infectious pop sensibilities atop lush, dreamy arrangements that often belie the swift emotional currents lurking underneath. Her performances, meanwhile, are riveting and nuanced to match, gentle yet insistent as they reckon with the pain of regret and the joy of redemption, sometimes in the very same breath. The result is the most raw and arresting release of Youngs’ remarkable career, a brutally honest, deeply vulnerable work of self reflection that learns to make peace with the past as it transforms doubt and grief into hope and transcendence.

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and actress Emily Kinney mines for inspiration on her new album, the aptly titled Swim Team. Produced by Kinney’s longtime collaborator Benjamin Greenspan, Swim Team follows 2021’s Supporting Character and 2018’s Oh Jonathan. The songs on the new LP, grapples with among other themes, the end of a relationship and Kinney’s conflicted feelings about surviving in the acting industry as well as her love for making music. Recalling early-career Rilo Kiley, Swim Team is an expert showcase for Kinney’s vocals, which are both vulnerable and wry. “It's a breakup album,” Kinney says of Swim Team. “Supporting Character was very much more about my artistic spiritual life, and some of those spiritual themes do show up in the lyrics on Swim Team. But I would say it's more of a breakup album, and also an album about shame and embarrassment.”

Haley Smalls is an artist, songwriter, and sound engineer from Toronto, Canada with a deceptively sweet classically trained voice, distinctive mainstream sound, and noticeable R&B/Hip Hop influence. Cohesively diverse, nostalgic yet modern, Haley’s sound comes from the careful and strategic sound development that came from teaming up with her producer, Megaman (Drake, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Tyga, Bow Wow, Yo Gotti). This has resulted in a chemistry that has been often seen and heard in the music she releases. In 2014, Beyonce Knowles mentioned Haley's YouTube cover of Beyonce's song "Pretty Hurts" on her Facebook page saying she 'Loved it”. This brought international attention to Haley on social media and was covered by one of Toronto's major news outlets City News. Haley has released 4 albums (This Is Me, Heart of Gold, The Cure II, Summer Nights), an EP/Bundle (Off The Cuff), multiple singles, and her most recent album ‘The Cure III’. Haley's music is available in all online stores and major streaming platforms.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
For folk singer Willi Carlisle, singing is healing. And by singing together, he believes we can begin to reckon with the inevitability of human suffering and grow in love. On his latest album, Critterland, Carlisle invites audiences to join him: "If we allow ourselves to sing together, there's a release of sadness, maybe even a communal one. And so for me personally, singing, like the literal act of thinking through suffering, is really freeing," he says.

Rooted in the eclectic and collective world of his live shows, Carlisle's third album, Critterland takes up where his sophomore album, Peculiar, Missouri left off, transforming Peculiar's big tent into a Critterland menagerie and letting loose the weirdos he gathered together. The album is a wild romp through the backwaters of his mind and America, lingering in the odd corners of human nature to visit obscure oddballs, dark secrets, and complicated truths about the beauty and pain of life and love.

Produced by the GRAMMY Award-nominated Darrell Scott and to be released Jan. 26, 2024 by Signature Sounds, Critterland considers where we come from and where we are going. On the album, he takes on human suffering through stories about forbidden love, loss, generational trauma, addiction, and suicide, believing that by processing the traits and trauma we inherit, he can reach a deeper understanding of what it means to succeed and to exist.

"In many ways, the suffering that has gotten us here is going to control us. Our superstition and our prejudice is going to control us," Carlisle says. "But in another way, we're physiologically set up to be instantaneously expressive of all of those feelings. And what comes out in moments of collectivity, is not just singing, but what I'd hope is a national reckoning with these various different kinds of suffering."

Throughout Critterland runs Carlisle's unease with the tension between love and the reality of an often painful world. He's adamant that everyone should find and feel love, including queer love, love with no reproductive purpose, and love of ourselves; "I think at the heart of the record is the conflict between those two things, between doomed love and the possibility that that love creates," he says.

But for Carlisle, finding the possibilities that love creates is often tinged with profound sadness, and he describes Critterland as "more of a Sunday morning crier than a Saturday night banger." On "The Arrangements," he speaks as a son ruminating on the traits he's inherited from an imperfect father as he prepares for the man's funeral; in "Dry County Dust," he revels in the simple trappings of country life he loves intimately, like home-made jam and backyard chickens, all while considering the shackles of expectation; in "The Great Depression," a dust bowl ballad heavy with implications for our current era, Carlisle leans on the term's double meaning; with "I Want No Children," he unapologetically requests that his family name die with him; and in the album's final track, "The Money Grows on Trees," he crafts an outlaw tale into a seven-minute indictment of capitalism and greed.

Blues isn’t just twelve bars and a hard luck story. On his debut record, Hard Times and a Woman, guitarist and songwriter Justin Golden showcases the full breadth of the genre and its downstream influences, everything from country blues to Americana, soul, indie roots and beyond. Golden was raised on the Virginia coast and is steeped in the distinctive, fingerpicked Piedmont blues of the central part of the state.

Music has always been around Margaux Sauvé, born in Quebec to a family of musicians; she picked up the violin at the tender age of five. Moving on to the Conservatoire in Quebec, she quit due to “missing the fun part of it” but still loved music so started to play violin in local bands. Singing came a bit later as she thought that “to be a singer you had to have a powerful voice and be loud”, something that doesn’t come naturally to her as a quiet, thoughtful person. Alongside this, the pop music on the radio whilst growing up in Quebec wasn’t connecting with her, so it wasn’t until she started to write music whilst studying psychology at University that the creativity and desire to express revealed itself: “it just opened a completely new path for me”.

Writing music as Ghostly Kisses arrived at a moment where Margaux was in “a living situation I was not able to get out of. A toxic relationship where I had a hard time understanding what was happening.” With this knowledge, it is understandable that most of her early music has a sorrowful but exploratory mood; knowing there were things she needed to express, but not understanding quite how instinctively she was writing until years later it became apparent what she was singing about.

And now, with ‘Heaven, Wait’, her mesmeric debut album ready for release, her songwriting has developed to the point that this is the first time she has written and felt like she was part of the conversation. Able to view herself with an external eye, the album reflects transitions and rebirth - still talking about difficult situations, but with the ability to cast someone else in the lead role, giving the music a deeply personal yet starkly universal appeal. One which Margaux feels has come from “a more mature, adult way of looking at it.”

Identifying key themes of the album, Margaux frames the album artwork within the context of the songs as being “from water towards the air, there’s a lot of dark around me and I’m just going through to the light.”  And that feels like the crux of the album, that nothing is perfect - there are always difficult situations, but it is about trusting the process and working hard towards something positive.

All the songs on ‘Heaven, Wait’ talk at some point about a transition or a relationship she had to work on, not wanting to be stuck in a situation forever. Whilst the story of the album is an intensely personal journey, it’s the first time we find Margaux writing about excitement and desire. We also hear her develop as an artist with liberating songs that can be danced to amongst the darker, more melodramatic songs she has built her name on.

If title track ‘Heaven, Wait’ encapsulates the positive side of growth, then other songs, such as first single ‘Don’t Know Why’ is about how “at some point I had to let go and accept defeat, it was my own choice to leave and it was painful.” ‘Blackbirds’ is about depression; something she experienced first hand when she was eighteen going into an intensely dark place: “there was no grey area, there was only black or an idea of being free.”

Nourished By Time, the Baltimore based songwriter/producer with a unique blend of New Wave, R&B, and Dance, Nourished By Time's music explores themes of existentialism, love, consumerism and their relationship with labor. The project was initially created in Los Angeles (where the artist used to live in Koreatown) at the end of 2019. After two years of failure and artistic differences with a creative partner, the impulsive artist abruptly left LA and drove solo across the country, back to his hometown of Baltimore. Where they would work odd jobs, attempt to recover mentally, fall In love, get heartbroken and obsessively write songs under Nourished By Time. In 2022, the artist had their first label release with the 2 song Erotic Probiotic — EP under the London indie label Scenic Route. This year NBT joined 4AD's post punk band Dry Cleaning on a 20 stop tour of North America as well as a remix of their album track 'Gary Ashby.' Continuing to build his collaborative credentials, he also features on progressive electronic artist Yaeji's debut album, With A Hammer on XL Recordings. This all before dropping his critically acclaimed album Erotic Probiotic 2, picked up Pitchfork's 'Best New Music' and featured on 'Best Of 2024' lists on Gorilla vs Bear (#1), Pitchfork (#5), The Guardian, The Fader, Paste and more. 2024 has kicked off with the announcement of Nourished By Time signing to the iconic UK imprint XL Recordings, returning with his new EP, Catching Chickens released on 22 March digitally and on 12" vinyl. Written between 2022 — 2023 in his home studio in Baltimore, Catching Chickens takes inspiration from the iconic scene in Rocky II where his trainer makes him chase and catch chickens as a test of agility. With tracks like "Hell of a Ride," in which Nourished By Time contemplates the fall of the American empire and late-stage capitalism loneliness, and "Had Ya Called," which deals with the frustrations of growing distance in friendships, Nourished By Time chronicles his own test of agility as he weaves through the motions of his newfound notability. Support across The Face, Flaunt, Pitchfork, Hypebeast, Pigeons & Planes, Loud & Quiet, BBC 6 Music and more. "Arthur Russell meets Daft Punk but deep R&B…the only new music I absolutely swear is next level." – Oneohtrix Point Never "Nourished By Time can touch feelings that cannot be put into words" – Yaeji "a DIY pop star who turns every limitation into an asset." – Pitchfork "Marcus Brown's blend of '90s R&B and '80s freestyle is so impressive because it appears to have arrived fully formed" – Paste Magazine "an artist adept at extracting elements from music's past and creating something uniquely individual." – The FADER

urika’s bedroom hides in plain site; focused and alive. You hear the noise and hiss; cracking through the digital heat. “It’s not quiet here, but at least there is understanding” , urika adds. After years of touring as a multi - instrumentalist (2070, St. Panther, Youth Lagoon) and producing for artists like LA outfit untitled (halo), Los Angeles transplant urika’s bedroom returns to his personal practice with debut single “Junkie”. The self - produ ced track was mixed by Sonny DiPerri (DIIV, Animal Collective, Portugal. The Man), and sees distorted drums and static soaked guitars meet stung and whispered vocals. At his concerts he has been known to jump into Bowie, Beatles, Elton John and Leonard Cohen, as well as mixing in his own heartfelt originals. No matter what Thunderstorm performs, he does it from his heart. He does not consider his music as notes on a page but rather a window into his soul. His strong belief is that through music he can make the world a better place and lift the hearts of others.
