PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Katie Basden

"Much like the Tar Heel state she calls home, Katie Basden’s music is a polyglot of styles, combining country, soul, rock and blues into an enticing blend of southern American music. Her new album Release The Sound was a project two years in the making, honed mostly during the years she spent in Nashville as a budding songwriter..."- Caine O'Rear, Editor in Chief of American Songwriter

With deep roots in Durham, North Carolina, Katie Basden grew up in a home full of musical influences.  She started her solo career at just 15, and migrated to Nashville, TN after high school in 2010 and has been traveling to play ever since.   Katie most recently placed as a Top 20 finalist on NBC’s show The Voice with her coach Blake Shelton, after working with Adam Levine. Prior to the show, she released her sophomore project, Release the Sound, featuring “Gypsy Prophet”, which was chosen “Best Country Video Performance” by talented singer-songwriters Chris Stapleton and Charlie Worsham for American Songwriter Magazine’s 30th Anniversary Song Contest.
Release The Sound is not only full of original, genre-bending songs written by a traveled female artist, but Katie's powerful voice is honest and effortless.

The Aquaducks are a high-energy funk and soul band from Nashville, TN with a fresh, yet nostalgic brand of modern funk music. The Aquaducks’ live show is a party on the stage and off, from start to finish. While the musical influence of artists such as Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, and Lettuce provide enough musical meat to satisfy the appetites of even the most discerning critics, their light-hearted and fun approach to performance ensures that no one in the audience is left behind.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Based out of Durham, NC, this local family band adds their own flavor to many rock classics and likes to shake things up with several country and blues songs as well.

Alan and Kimmie Wilson have enjoyed performing together since the beginning of the 80's. Several bands preceded Individually Twisted including Seph & the Sifters and Bobby Z & the Impalas. Son Jonathan Wilson is quite the gentle “Animal” on drums. Many know Jonathan from his past band, Untold; he currently plays with Urban Soil and City Dirt Trio; and has sat in with, to name a few, Rebecca Newton and Willie Painter at many of their shows. Finally, when he's not teaching music or DJing on WHUP, Ben Palmer offers up his bass-playing pizzazz. Ben plays with so many acts, it's nearly impossible to keep up with him!

RESCHEDULED FROM JANUARY 21, 2022

Eddie 9V has acted on instinct all his life. At the age of 15, this longtime soul artist turned away from the path of college and jobs to go all guns blazing on the roots and blues circuit of his native Atlanta, Georgia. Flash forward to 2019, and for his debut album, Left My Soul In Memphis, the prodigious multi-instrumentalist simply turned on the amps in his double-wide trailer and teamed up with his brother/co-writer/producer, Lane Kelly, to put one of the breakout releases of the year, hailed by Rock & Blues Muse as "fresh and life-affirming"

Eddie’s ultimate aim is to pass that spirit on to everyone who hears the record and sees him play live. “It makes my day to please someone after they work all day,” he says. “My job is to make them smile and let the music make them forget – or remember.”

Jamie McLean has soaked up quite a bit of America's musical DNA. McLean provides a fascinating cross-section of sounds that merge the yearning and romanticism of Tom Petty, the air-tight instrumental proficiency of Nashville and the rugged independent streak of alt-country.   - Guitar World Magazine

“Jamie McLean Band is completely original and completely fabulous... The live version of this band is a three-dimensional experience not to be missed. - Hittin The Note

“A honkin' collection of Southern-style blues rock, Americana, and soul.... as bawdy as anything the Black Crowes tried to snag from The Faces or The Stones circa 'Sticky Fingers' and 'Exile on Main Street' and as groovy and gutsy as Bowie's 'Young Americans.'" - Charleston City Paper

This is a fully seated show!

Darrell Scott
Multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Darrell Scott mines and cultivates the everyday moment, taking the rote, menial, mundane, and allowing it to be surreal, ever poignant, and candidly honest, lilting, blooming, and resonating. The words he fosters allow us to make sense of the world, what is at stake here, and our place in it. And ultimately, Darrell knows the sole truth of life is that love is all that matters, that we don’t always get it right, but that’s the instinctive and requisite circuitous allure of things, why we forever chase it, and why it is held sacred.

Darrell Scott comes from a musical family with a father who had him smitten with guitars by the age of 4, alongside a brother who played Jerry Reed style as well. From there, things only ramped up with literature and poetry endeavors while a student at Tufts University, along with playing his way through life. This would never change.

After recently touring with Robert Plant and the Zac Brown Band (2 years with each), and producing albums for Malcolm Holcomb and Guy Clark and being named “songwriter of the year” for both ASCAP and NSAI, these days find him roaming his Tennessee wilderness acreage hiking along the small river, creating delicious meals with food raised on his property and playing music. He often leads songwriting workshops to help people tell their own truths with their stories, and is as busy as always writing, producing, performing, and just plain fully immersing himself in life.

Me & David Burney Open
Rebecca Newton and David Burney. “Two beautiful voices singing the songs of Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Nick Cave, Emmylou Harris, and Jason Isbell.”
