JJ and the Daydrinkers
John Joyce's first effort Drunks and Dead Relatives left him wanting more. So he went out and recruited all his favorite Chicago musicians. Collaborating once again with Andon Davis and Rich Rankin they went to John Abbey's Kingsize Studio and this is the result. Phil Angotti, Gerald Dowd, Casey McDonough, Alton Smith, Scott Stevenson, Dave Nelson, Rachel Drew, Anna Fermin, Tony Richards, Wally Rozak, Janna Henning, Frank Izzo and a visit by the Steve Dawson make this Album a true Chicago smorgasbord of local talent.
Rachel Drew
Rachel Drew grew up in a musical household on the north side of Chicago singing 3-part harmony with her parents, getting lost in imaginary songs on the family piano, and dancing wildly to dusty classical records. She's now a prolific songwriter, a fixture in multiple Chicago groups and musical residencies, and a frequent close harmony singer on other people's records. She and her band are making a new record at the end of June 2023.
