This Is My Brave: "The Show" CharMeck 2024 is coming to our community! It brings our community together for 3 shows across 2 amazing days filled with stories of resilience and hope. This Is My Brave is a national non-profit helping communities create shows that bring awareness to mental health, substance use, and the hope of recovery.  Individuals with lived experience share their stories of hope on stage through artistic expression such as monologue, spoken word poetry, original music, dance, and other creative methods. ReCAST II, Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma, and The Office of Violence Prevention, are both programs within Mecklenburg County Public Health bringing this show to our community.  We are working to improve community resilience by shining a light on resilience, increasing access to mental health treatment, and reducing community violence.
