Max Seidman - IN THE BAR

  August 3, 2024 8:00 PM

Max Seidman wrote his first song, The Lions, at age 16 in Philadelphia. It was terrible, but there was something about the creative process that he could not be without.
In the years following, songwriting quickly became his great passion. It was over a decade later, when Max was living in a small cabin on the Colorado river that he decided to weigh the risks of pursuing his passion professionally. His season as a dogsledder had just ended and he was either going to stay in that little cabin, or move to Nashville. He packed up his vehicle with a lone duffel bag and an acoustic guitar and headed to Tennessee. Since his arrival in Music City, Max has created a buzz in the folk/Americana scene, bringing his refreshing and relatable take on true Americana to venues all around the country. His bone-chilling lyrics and haunting melodies capture listeners within a few chords and it’s no surprise that his work is gaining traction. In 2018, Max Seidman released his first single, Grounded Angels, to radio-play and critical acclaim, winning the 2019 Independent Josie Music Awards in the category of folk/Americana song of the year. His following three singles gained critical recognition, praising his unique brand on the genre. His soulful and intimate live shows captivate audience members in an exhilarating musical connection that is an experience not to be missed.
