The 2021 National Conference on Cultural Property Protection
Daily programming will occur from 12pm ET to 4pm ET from Oct. 4-5, 2021
Join colleagues from around the world for two days to explore the future of cultural heritage protection and preservation, all from the safety of your own screen!
The Smithsonian founded the National Conference on Cultural Property Protection (NCCPP) nearly 40 years ago. What started as a uniquely Smithsonian event now annually unites participants from museums and cultural properties around the nation and the world. The Smithsonian’s Heritage Preservation is a core strength with exemplary skills in security, facilities construction and management, risk assessment, and collections stewardship.
Through easily accessible presentations, group panels, interviews, and Q&A’s, NCCPP will teach the strategies you need to turn challenges into opportunities during a time of crisis.
We’ll be releasing more details about the program and content by early summer. Stay tuned!
