Dog Sees God
Confession of a Teenage Blockhead
by Bert V. Royal
Directed by Corinne Philbin
When CB's dog dies from rabies, he begins to question the existence of an afterlife but his friends and family are no help. Between a stoner who misses his blanket, to a sister who has an identity crisis every week, to an ex-girlfriend who is institutionalized, CB struggles to find comfort or relief, much less a real friend in the midst of high school chaos. But will a shy artistic pianist be his answer to figuring out his identity, and the meaning of life? Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion, and sexual identity are the heavy topics to be confessed and satirized in this play based loosely on Charles Schultz's Peanuts characters.
