In this virtual version of our popular macrame wall hanging class, you will learn how to transform cords of single strand cord into magical works of macrame wall art! Learn the many foundational knots used in macrame (double half hitch, square, larks head, and more...) as you create your own macrame wall hanging. Each student will have a chance to work on one mid-sized wall hanging (measuring 12" width by 20" height) made from 3mm heavy cotton macrame cord and a wooden dowel. Use wooden beads to embelish you piece, and learn to dye your cotton cord with Rit Dye for cool visual effect. We will even show you how to transform your wall hanging into a functional plant hanger for a small 4-6" plant! Each student will complete one macrame project during the virtual class, and will receive enough macrame supplies to produce two full wall hanging projects from our WorkshopSF Macrame Kit.
