IMH FEST 2021 (Night 1: Fri., June 25)
Doors Open: 4:30 PM
In My House: that’s where it all started.
Beginning as nothing more than a gathering of high school friends, our community of young artists quickly outgrew the basement we once called home. Putting on a number of house concerts over a period of four years, the platform we created for artists to showcase their talents revealed itself as more expansive than we could have ever imagined. When the pandemic forced us to go public, our audience and the community around us embraced our message: artists supporting other artists, affordable events promoting those who may not have the means to support their visions, and creating a network for musicians and other talented artist to expand their reach and develop their talents in new ways.
With over 100,000 Spotify plays between our associated acts, IMH is beyond proud of how far we’ve come, but even more excited to see where we can go from here. Our community continues to grow faster than we can follow, with various types of music, personalities, and themes joining our lineup every week. There is never a cost to perform.
Everyone is welcome to share their gifts. Everyone is welcome to come and see.Scheduled to appear: Friday, June 25*
- Nicole Jasperse – a singer-songwriter from Fargo and residing at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Nicole and her band open our first night off the back of a huge release concert of their first studio album. Calm, collective, and full of spirit, Nicole and her group are a perfect fit to open our more acoustic night.
- Autumn Dodd – fresh off the back of graduation from Century High School, Autumn brings a stripped back acoustic solo approach to her performance, and will feature a number of covers and easy music you are sure to enjoy.
- Shea Lee – a multi-instrumentalist from Bismarck High, Shea combines his musical talent with a thrill of introspective poetry to create a fix of lyrical intensity sure to entertain the mind.
- Sonniewaters – better known as the oldest 5 children from the musical Bohlen family, Zoe, Shekinah, Eleeshua, Zech, and Shoshanna are all spectacular musicians on their own, but combined create an unreal spectacle of folk-acoustic we are honored to have headlining our first night.
This event is held at the historical and beautifully-restored Belle Mehus Auditorium, in the heart of downtown Bismarck! The Belle Mehus Auditorium is located at 201 N 6th St., at the corner of 6th St. and Broadway Ave.
