The Amazing Buildings of Charleston: ABCs of Architecture History Walk and Talk • Oct. 13• 10 a.m.
Designed for all ages, this history walk is the perfect introduction to Charleston's remarkable architecture and how it reflects the various periods in our history. It is created especially for families so the child in all of us can appreciate the uniqueness and beauty of our city. Your guide will identify distinctive elements of buildings and houses, elements such as columns, piazzas, brickwork and pediments, while discussing how preservation has protected a unique sense of place. Note: MORNING HISTORY WALKS AND TALKS ARE EXTERIOR ONLY. No property interiors will be included. Meet at 147 King Street at 10:00 a.m. and wear comfortable walking shoes. This walkabout lasts approximately two hours.
