The Pseudo Blues Band, formed in the fall of 1995 with founding members are:  Merle Alderson- Guitar and vocals  Dave Mccree- Guitar and Vocals  Monte Henderson- Drums  Jim Henry- Bass and Vocals  Rehearsing 3 to 4 nights a week for several months molded and shaped the sound of the band. Prior to performing their first show a name was chosen to reflect the combination of blues music with a rock edge. Following the performance, the band saw their popularity rise playing multiple venues in Springfield, St. Louis, Jefferson City and Rolla. As a member of The Mo Blues Society, they played the Mo Blues Battle of the Bands at Mojo's in Columbia and took second place. 1996 saw the release of the first CD entitled DEMO. One of the tunes received airplay on the syndicated Blues Deluxe Radio Show. Pseudo Blues submitted an audition tape to the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival and were selected to appear in the battle of the bands at the festival. Scheduling and logistic issues prohibited that but, felt honored by being selected to do that. The band went to 3 members in the late 1990's as Dave relocated to Springfield. A new sound and stage show was crafted and the three continued to perform until Monte left to pursue the formation of a very successful sound production company and has done so to this day. Monte was replaced by Cuba Dentist, Don Fuchs, and again the sound was recrafted, and, on the road, they went for many years until shortly before Merle sold Merle's Music and relocated to the Kansas City area.
